Looking for an Au Pair in Birmingham, Alabama?

With over 30 years of experience, EurAupair was one of the first au pair programs to become designated by the U. S. Department of State to legally sponsor au pairs to come to the United States, and has placed tens of thousands of au pairs across the country including in the Birmingham area.

EurAupair is an affordable child care option, making it a real value for such flexible, loving, in-home care. And, unlike other forms of child care, the program fee is for children of all ages, and per family - not per child.

The Benefits of Hosting an Au Pair

There are so many reasons why hosting an au pair for your Birmingham home is better than other traditional child care options. One is convenience. Having someone live with you allows flexibility that a day care does not. If you work nontraditional hours or you are a single parent, you need someone whose schedule can meet yours. Our au pairs can do that.

You also give your children a memorable experience they will not find anywhere else. The cultural enrichment they receive from getting to know someone from another country is something they will carry with them their entire lives. Your children can also learn another language by conversing with your au pair in her native tongue, an excellent and low-stress form of immersion.

Why Choose EurAupair to Find an Au Pair in Birmingham?

We have a long history of experience in placing au pairs from around the world with host families. Our au pair program has been designated by the U.S. Department of State as an exchange visitor program sponsor since 1988. We rely on a network of affiliated overseas offices that screen potential au pairs and help you find the perfect fit for your home. We have bright, responsible young people eager to spend time in the United States learning about American culture.

Our program is affordable, and we offer personal service you won’t find with other au pair organizations. We are also one of the few nonprofit au pair programs in the country. Our past participants have provided many testimonials detailing how we satisfied all their needs.

Local Support from EurAupair Community Counselors

Following the receipt of your application form, a local Community Counselor from the Birmingham area will be assigned to your family. The Community Counselor is available to answer any questions and provide assistance to both you and your au pair throughout your year together.

Activities Your Au Pair Can Do With Your Kids in Birmingham, Alabama

Birmingham offers so many fun places for kids to visit. Whether your children have the day off from school, are not yet of school age or are going somewhere after school lets out, your au pair can choose from a wide variety of destinations for special outings.

One place we recommend? The McWane Science Center. Appropriate for kids of all ages, this location emphasizes interactive play as a means of learning about science. It provides special activities for kids kindergarten and younger as well. Another popular destination is the Birmingham Zoo, which offers special events at major holidays as well as a behind-the-scenes tour kids will love.

Do your kids love sports? Your au pair can take them to watch the UAB teams play on campus. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the Adventure Park at Grants Mill Station offers a ropes course, rock wall, pedal carts, mini golf and more.

You should discuss beforehand if your au pair will use your car to get around Birmingham. Some places may be more accessible via public transportation. MAX Transit even has an app your au pair can download to her phone to ensure she knows the bus schedule.

Education for your Au Pair
