From January 2014, I have occasionally taken care of Skylar (12). I keep her entertained, play games, prepare food and supervise. From January 2021 to June 2024, I occasionally took care of Chelsie (12), Amber (12) and Aurora (10). I prepared meals, played games, did activities, assisted with bathroom routines, assisted with homework, picked up the children from school, got their clothes ready, supervised and kept the children entertained. Form April 2017 to March 2020, I occasionally took care of Oliver (5). I went to the park, played, prepared snacks and kept child entertained.

I love working with children and would like to have the opportunity to see a part of the world other than South Africa, and what better place than the USA? I would love to see the world, experience a new culture, and at the same time do something I love, like looking after little ones. I consider myself qualified to be an au pair because I know how to work with children and grew up looking after little ones without getting paid. I have always had a passion for looking after children, which is why I want to become an Au Pair. Since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of becoming a teacher, but I decided to pursue Au Pairing first. My goal for this experience is to develop as a person, learn a new language, immerse myself in different cultures and teach my host children new things. America has always been my top choice. From 03/2024 to 05/2024 I cared for children ages 3 months to 5 years old for 50 hours a week. My duties included feeding, changing diapers, preparing bottles, art activities, putting them down for naps, packing bags, singing, dancing, and supervising.

I want to become an au pair in the USA because I love children and am eager to experience new cultures. The opportunity to be an older sister to a host family’s children while sharing my South African culture excites me. Experiencing American traditions like Thanksgiving and the 4th of July is something I’ve always dreamed of. I would like to become an au pair because I am a caring and down-to-earth person who enjoys spending time with children. They are real, funny, and friendly, and being around them makes me happy. I am infant care qualified. I want to improve my social skills and become more independent. I am a passionate, loving, and attentive person who understands that being like a big sister to children comes with significant responsibilities, and it's not always just play and fun.
