Child Care Experience
From December 2021 to March 2022, I volunteered in a school with children between the ages of 1 and 3 years old. I supervised the children while they played outside, I did art activities with the toddlers, I changed their diapers, helped to feed them, supervised their nap time and did morning songs with them. I took care of Nikita (9) and Dino (11) from June 2013 to December 2015 on week-ends and holidays. I did indoor and outdoor games and activities, helped cleaning around the house, homework aid, meal preparation and supervision of kids during the day. From June 2014 to June 2016, on week-ends and holidays, I cared for Josh (8). I made him food, helped with homework and we played. From June 2015 to June 2016 on week-ends, I took care of Rishi (8). I helped with homework and tutored him in English. In May 2021, for 35 hours I worked in a daycare where I helped take care of a group of children ages 1 to 3. I monitored educational activities, helped feeding and supervise during playtime. From June 2014 to June 2016, 5 hours a week, I worked in a high school where I helped tutor students ages 13 to 16. I want to become an Au Pair in the USA because I love children and I have always been passionate about childcare and working with children. I would love to do this in the USA so that I may travel and see a different part of the world, learn about different cultures and lifestyles and develop new skills and find myself in the process. I think I am qualified to do this because I have a lot of experience with children from years of babysitting for friends and family, I am very good with children as I am patient, kind, fun and caring and I am a very reliable and motivated person. I am good at arts and crafts, previous tutoring experience, can teach swimming lessons, first aid certified and I have experience with special needs - my brother had torrets and ADHD growing up and one child I babysat - Josh, had epilepsy. I also have experience catering for special diet needs such as gluten or lactose intolerance and peanut allergies.
