*I have some experience with children with autism** From 07/2023 to 12/2023 I cared for children ages 2-13 for 6 hours a week. I was responsible for feeding, nappy changes, playtime, supervising nap times, helping with homework, and general supervision. From 01/2026 to 03/2026 I cared for children at a kindergarten for 6 hours day, 5 days a week. I was responsible for supervision, changing nappies,helping with bathroom routines, supervising lunch, playing, and entertaining. From 07/2023 to 06/2024 I cared for Simone (8) and Anke (6) on occasion. I was responsible for entertaining and feeding them.

Child Care Experience
From January 2017 to December 2023, I took care of Julia (9), Maureen (7) and Lillian (6 months) once a month. I played, kept the children entertained, prepared meals, gave baths, supervised the children and did light housekeeping. From January 2016 to November 2023, I helped out at Llalingwe Game Farm with children from 3 months to 12 years of age, for seven hours a day during school holidays. I prepared meals, assisted with swimming, created fun activities, face painting, coloring, kept the children entertained and supervised. From November to December 2022, I worked at Topolino Pre-primary with children from 4 to 13 years of age. I assisted with activities, played learning activities, supervised playtime, assisted with bathroom routine, and prepared food.

I want to become an au pair in the USA because I aspire to be a primary school teacher and believe that gaining experience in a new cultural environment will help me confirm this career path. I love working with children, entertaining them, and helping them learn. The chance to immerse myself in a different culture and share my own is incredibly appealing. Child Care Experience
From July 2025 to July 2026, I took care of Blanche (6), Maxime (4) and Ines (1) for thirty hours per week. I prepared breakfast, packed school lunches, completed school drop-offs and pick-ups, changed the baby, naps, played, entertained the children, did arts and crafts, played with clay, prepared meals, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher, vacuumed, cleaned up after dinner, did laundry, folded and put the clothes away and tidied the children's rooms each morning. From October 2023 to February 2025, I took care of Lianke (7), Milane (7) and Lihard (4) for 25 hours per week during school holidays. I prepared breakfast and lunch, helped get the children dressed, played, supervised when the children did swimming and did crafts such as drawing, painting and made different items. From October 2023 to February 2025, I took care of Hlma (12) and Husain (10) for five hours per week. I assisted with homework, helped with school projects and helped the children study for tests and exams. From October 2023 to December 2024, I took care of Amia (7) for twenty hours per week. I helped with homework, read, did writing and singing, gave baths, ensured that everything was ready for bedtime and the child's mother to arrive. From January to December 2024, I helped in a classroom with children from 10 to 18 years of age. I helped the children with Afrikaans, math and science, assisted three of the children with computer studies and supported the head teacher with classroom management.

After spending the past year as an au pair, I realised how rewarding it is to build meaningful relationships with children and become part of a host family.
