From 01/2023 to 01/2024 I cared for Mariana Rojas (6) for 5 hours a day, 3 days a week. I was responsible for supervising the child, helping with homework, , preparing snacks, planning activities, playing with the child, ensuring safety, and helping with bedtime routines. My main motivation for participating in this program is the combination of my two greatest passions: childcare and discovering new cultures. I have always believed that the best way to grow personally is by stepping out of my comfort zone, and a cultural exchange in the United States offers a unique environment to perfect my English while sharing my roots with an American family.
Child Care Experience
From July to August 2024, I helped out at summer camp with a group of children from 5 to 10 years of age, once or twice per week for eight hours. I looked after the children, helped the children carry out activities, and had lunch and snacks with the children. From January 2021 to December 2023, I occasionally took care of Lavinia (7) and Vittoria (5). I picked up the children from school, prepared lunch, helped with homework, prepared snacks, took to activities, planned fun activities, did painting and crafting, went to the movies, and went for walks in the park. From January 2021 to December 2023, I occasionally, twice a week, took care of Filipp (7) and Giacomo (6). I helped with homework, prepared snacks, picked up the children from school and took the children to sports activities.

My lifelong dream has always been to visit America, and what better way to explore it than through this incredible opportunity? I worked at a daycare center from April 2022 to January 2023 taking care of children ages 8 months to 3 years old. My responsibilites included feeding, diaper changes, and putting them down for naps. I worked at a kindergarten from March to December 2023 taking care of children ages 1 to 5 years old. I fed and bathed the children, changed diapers, did fun activities and supervised playtime. Finally, I worked at another kindergarten from September 2024 to July 2026 taking care of children ages 1 to 7 years old. I consider myself qualified to participate in the EurAuPair program because of my extensive childcare experience, including many hours spent supporting children in day care centers and kindergartens. *I am first-aid certified.* Making children laugh, ensuring their safety, and turning every second spent with them into an adventure and a wonderful story comes naturally to me. I have always done my very best to help them create wonderful memories, whether that meant staying up late to prepare a treasure hunt, dressing up as the funniest characters, or simply being there for them when they needed it.
