Child Care Experience
From June to August 2018, I watched Emily (7) and Karl (9) during the summer as needed. This included creating indoor and outdoor activities for them and preparing their meals and snacks. From September 2018 to January 2019, I babysat Sara (4) and Mikelis (5) monthly. I dressed them, did outdoor activities with them, did light housework, read to them, and prepared snacks for them. Finally, from September 2018 to April 2019, I occasionally watched Odrija (2) and Lina (7). My responsibilities included changing Ordija's diapers, dressing them, taking them for a walk, playing with them, and preparing creative and educational activities for them.
Sports, Interests and Hobbies
Nature, the environment, tourism, sports, cultural events, travelling, reading, watching sports, biking, running, dancing traditional Latvian dances, volunteering, learning foreign languages, table tennis, hiking, hockey, biathlon, bobsleigh, basketball, and volleyball.
Since I can remember, I have been open-minded, outgoing, positive, and eager to explore and travel the world. The first time I heard about the Au Pair program, I knew straight away that it was for me. I love to travel, learn about different cultures, and most importantly, I love children. In my opinion, it is a unique and useful experience to learn about foreign cultures by becoming part of a family. I have always enjoyed working with children. In my opinion, taking care of children is a learning process and great practice for the future. I love to teach children and to explore the world around us. I think family is the most important thing and I have a close and loving relationship with my parents and sister. I hope to have the same relationship with my host family and children!
