Child Care Experience
I have experience in caring for children with special needs. From May to September 2017, I had an internship at a social center taking care of children with mental and physical disabilities ages 12 to 18 years old. I helped with supervising and organizing activities. From May 2016 to July 2017 I did an internship in a nursery taking care of children ages 6 months to 3 years old. I fed the children, changed diapers and played with them. From September 2020 to June 2022, I cared for Rayan (3) and Samir (10). I took them to school, we played together and I helped with homeworks.

From 09/2023 to 07/2024 I cared for Elia (1) on a weekly basis. I was responsible for driving him to the nursery and bring him home, let him have his nap and prepare him a snack, and bringing him to the Park and playing with him. From 09/2023 to 02/2024 I cared for Linda (1) on a weekly basis. I would prepare her something to eat, I changed her diaper and make her sleep. From 09/2023 to 06/2024 I cared for Diego (11) on a weekly basis. I helped him with his homework.

I would like to do this type of experience because I love spending my time with children, I love playing with them and teach them new things. I have always loved children and for this reason I would like to work with them. Also because I think that learning languages is very important. I really want to improve my English, I have Cambridge Certificate B2 but I want to know English better. America is also one of my dreams, I love their lifestyle.

From 06/2019 to 09/2023 I cared for Racheke (3) and Davide (newborn) for 20 hours a week. I prepared breakfast and stayed with them until lunch, then I came back in the afternoon and organized chores and activities to do together. From 07/2018 to 08/2024 I cared for 3 children ages newborn to 6 years old. I prepared food for them and entertained them by organizing activities and crafts to do together. From 01/2018 to 08/2024 I cared for a group of children ages 3 to 18 years old on a monthly basis. I would provide childcare, meal preparation, activities planning and supervision during chores.

I would like to become an au pair exchange program participant in the U.S. because I enjoy taking care of children, getting in touch with a new culture (which I have already come into contact with twice on short vacations in NY) and improving my English. I think I am the right person to take this path because I am patient, mature and reliable.

From May 2024, I have taken care of Valeria (5) and Marco (8) two to three times per week. I take the children to the park and play with them. From February 2022 to April 2024, I took care of Diana (10) once a week. I picked up child from school, prepared meals and helped with homework. I feel qualified because I really like to stay among kids and try to learn from them as well grow with them. Thanks to the experiences I had in babysitting I could noticed that I'm very patient , responsible and creative with them. As I had the possibility in the past to go in another country for a year, I deeply would like to spend some time discovering a new culture and other places.

In June and July 2018, I also cared for a group of children, aged between 6 and 13 years old. My responsibilities included: to organize activities, play with kids, cook with them. Additionally, I cared for another group of children aged between 3 and 6 years old in June 2024. I was an educator and my duties included children’s reception, to organize educational activities, caring for them during lunch time, nap and snacks. I would like to learn something about the culture, places, people and language every day. I would like to establish a good bond with children and family, I am a girl who communicates a lot, responsible, ambitious, patient and I don't like to argue. I like meeting new people and I'm flexible so I settle in easily. I already know what it means to settle into a new place because when I go to Morocco I can perceive the difference between Italian and Moroccan culture. I have always wanted to study in America but being an au pair is an experience that allows me to enrich my academic and work skills because I have done internships with children and at the same time it allows me to study.

I want to become an au pair because it is a good opportunity that this program brings to the young people. I really like to spend time with kids, and also I like to travel and know more about the other cultures and this case American culture, I would like to know more about EEUU and make new friends, keep learning English, and just have a good experience during my year as Au Pair.
