Child Care Experience
I looked after Alan (7) from June to October 2024. My responsibilities were to feed him, supervise to make sure he didn’t get into mischief, help him with bathing, assist with his schoolwork, and play with him. I also looked after Valentina (11) from January to March 2023. My responsibilities were to her hair and change her clothes, pick her up from school, help with homework and feed her. I want to participate in the Au Pair program because I would like to live the experience of getting to know another culture and a country different from mine, learning their language and being able to improve my English with native people doing what I like, which is taking care of children. I consider myself qualified for the program because I have experience caring for children from 3 months to 12 years of age, I work as a substitute teacher's assistant in a school with children from 3 to 16 years of age as a writing and reading reinforcement teacher and also taking care of the children at the end of the student session. I am interested in participating in this program to learn about other cultures and make mine known, meet other people. I like children and I feel more than qualified to work with them, taking care of them, teaching them about my country and culture. Teaching them values and learning hundreds of things, living the experience with them would be an honor, they would learn as much from me as I do from them.
