From July 8th to July 19th, 2024, I took care of a group of children from 3 to 5 years of age. I exercised with the children, taught, assisted with showers, did activities, provided water and watched the children during nap time. From July 23rd to August 6th, 2024, i took care of a group of children from 4 to 6 years of age. I helped with homework, colored pictures, counted numbers, organized activities, exercised and played with the children. From May 6th to May 31st, 2024, I took care of Nithe (2 months). I prepared milk, gave baths, played and put the baby down for naps.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to join a work-and-travel program in the US. I’m a housekeeper. I often meet guests who come to stay. Most of them come as families. I have the opportunity to talk with them, which makes me happy every time because I feel like I can exchange ideas and experience cultural perspectives from them. I think this is a good opportunity to join the Au-Pair exchange program. I can apply the experience that I learnt from school to take care of children. And I thought it would be great if I could be a part of the happiness in the family. From my strength I'm a very down-to-earth, considerate, enthusiastic, honest, sociable, and adaptable person.

From May 2023 to present, I take care of Lennard (3) and Lily (7) every three weeks. I care for the children, change diapers, prepare food and help change their clothes. From June 2023 to present, I take care of Louise (2) for four hours, once a month. I play, prepare food and do activities with the child. From December 2021 to October 2022, I took care of Joanna (1) and Leevke (2) twice a week. I played with the children in the house and in the garden, helped the children get dressed, prepared food, read books and put the children to sleep.

From September to October 2022, I cared for Santiago (11). I gave him snacks, played with him and helped him with his homework. From May to July 2023, I worked at a kindergarten with children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. The experience I have had with the children has been so enriching and beautiful, it made me realize I love spending time with them, play with them, help them in everything they need, teach them and also learn from them try to understand the way they see the world and the life is gorgeous, also know their ideas and how they can be so imaginative and creative is amazing. Being next to them while they grow make me feel so proud because I can see what they learn every day. I know it is an excellent opportunity to have a cultural interchange knowing new things about USA, knowing new places, new people while I practice my English, being part of a family and know how the things are in an American family environment and also teaching the family about my Colombian culture, I know that it is an experience that will make me grow in all areas of my life.

I should be ready for an October arrival** One of the reasons why I would like to be an Au Pair are: I love children, I look for ways to create an emotional bond with them and mainly to gain their trust. First of all, I think it's an amazing program to carry out a cultural exchange at the same time as you see a child grow up. I think that as a nanny, you get the privilege of observing how little by little children forge their personality and being an Au Pair you can help them discover who they want to be as they grow up. I think it is a beautiful bond where both parties help each other. Secondly, being a young adult implies understanding that many times decisions must be made to get out of your comfort zone and take advantage of those opportunities that present themselves and allow you to know the world and numerous people who will mark your life. Finally, I think this program tests you to reaffirm your strengths, personally, I consider myself a very mature, responsible, honest, reliable, communicative, brave, prudent, loyal, who has initiative and enthusiasm.

I would like to participate in this great exchange mainly because I feel qualified to assume the responsibility of taking care of the little ones of a future host family. From January 2017 to August 2019, I cared for Jesus (1). I had to keep an eye on him, bathe him, change him, prepare his food, feed him, venting, change his diapers, clean him, put him to bed, play with him and as he grew, I taught him things like numbers, letters, words, among other things like washing your clothes, cleaning and organizing the house. Since May 2022, I cared for Ignacio (3). I am teaching him English; I also helping him to do his homework, going out to the park to play and playing on the nights when his parents are not there. I prepare his meals, take him to the places he needs to go, accompany him to play sports, help him get dressed and bathe, as well as wash his clothes and organize the house. From July to November 2020, I cared for Mateo (2). I was a nanny, so lived there and took care of him almost all day long taking care and feeding, burping a baby, bathtime, bedtime, dressing, cooking, doing dishes, and clean up, tidying children's rooms, washing and folding children’s laundry, playing learning games/activities, changing diaper.

I would like to be an au pair, first of all, first of all, because I really enjoy spend my time with children. I think this will be a great opportunity for me to live an experience outside the country and practice my language a lot. I consider myself qualified to participate in this program due to my experience, professionalism and my very dedicated and disciplined attitude with which I have managed to become an independent person at such a young age and live in another country far from my home.
