From January 2023 to September 2024, I occasionally helped out at a Daycare Center with children from 7 to 10 years of age. I assisted with homework, maintained routines, engaged in sensory-friendly and educational activities, supervised and ensured a safe and nurturing environment. From December 2021 to December 2023, I took care of Lungelo (9) and Lwandle (11) for ten hours per week. I assisted with homework and school projects, encouraged reading and educational activities, engaged in creative play, arts and crafts, prepared meals, organized outdoor activities and playdates, and ensured a structured routine for bedtime and hygiene. From January 2022 to December 2023, I took care of Lubanzi (6 months) for twelve hours per week. I prepared bottles, burping, changed diapers, maintained hygiene, ensured tummy time and gentle physical activities, soothing, rocked the child to sleep, monitored developmental milestones, engaged in sensory play and put the child down for naps.

Lastly, I worked at an at-home daycare with kids ages 3 months to 5 years old from March 2021 to March 2025. My responsibilities included helping with meals, going on outings to the park, changing diapers, feeding them, putting them down for a nap, going on walks with the kids, playing games, and reading to them.

I want to be an AuPair first of all because I love children! I look after children every weekend, and every day I am with the children that my mother cares for as a maternal assistant. I would like to be like a big sister to my future host kids.

From March to June 2024, I took care of Astrid (13) for six hours, three days per week. I ensured the child was following a structures daily routine, prepared breakfast, got child ready for school, engaged in educational activities, accompanied child to extracurricular activities and took care of the child until the parents returned home.

I am interested in participating in this program to learn about other cultures and make mine known, meet other people. I like children and I feel more than qualified to work with them, taking care of them, teaching them about my country and culture. Teaching them values and learning hundreds of things, living the experience with them would be an honor, they would learn as much from me as I do from them.
