Child Care Experience
I took care of 20 different children aged 9–12 from 09/2022 to 07/2023, where I helped with homework, created educational games, resolved conflicts, and supported them in preparing for tests. I also cared for Josef Mai, Salome Mai, Klara Mai, and Sarah Mai, aged 3–15, from 04/2021 to 04/2025, about three days per month, where I babysat, played with them, prepared meals, and helped with nap time.

My biggest hobby is tennis, which I have played in a club for seven years and which has helped me stay active and develop leadership skills as a team leader, enjoying outdoor walks, traveling, swimming, watching soccer and follow it regularly.

I have been dreaming of becoming an AuPair for a long time because I would like to grow as a person and become more responsible. I believe that living in another country and being part of a host family is a great opportunity to learn and gain new experiences. I feel that the tasks of an au pair suit me very well because I get along easily with people, especially children. I enjoy spending time with them, supporting them, and helping them. I babysat Ben (1) and Nia since she was born in January 2016 until January 2024 occasionally. I prepared meals and played with them. I've babysat Jodie (1) since April 2025. I prepare meals, go for walks with her or take her to the playground, change diapers and put her down for naps. I looked after Kai (8) from January 2022 to January 2024 occasionally. I prepared meals, did different activities with him and put him to bed. I babysat a 1-year-old boy from September 2024 to July 2025. I entertained him, did local activities with him, prepared meals, and helped with night time routine. I've babysat my cousin since she was born in January 2024. I prepare meals, change diapers, put her down for naps and take her out for walks in the stroller.

I would like to become an au pair in the USA because I want to live outside of Europe and experience a new culture. I am an open-minded and curious person who enjoys meeting new people and learning about different lifestyles. An au pair exchange program is a great opportunity for me to broaden my horizons and gain valuable life experience. I am particularly interested in Montana because of its beautiful nature and landscapes. I consider myself well qualified for the EurAupair program because I enjoy working with children and have a lot of childcare experience. Growing up with two younger sisters, I learned to take responsibility early on. In addition, I completed several internships at an elementary school and currently tutor a 7th-grade student. My strengths include reliability, openness, and enthusiasm for sports and new activities.

I took care of Elia (3) and Jona (15), occasionally helping with playing, preparing food, meals, bedtime, evening hygiene, bathing, diaper changing, brushing teeth, and driving them. I took care of Johannes (2) and Holly (4), occasionally supporting with meals, bedtime routines, evening hygiene, and general childcare tasks. I took care of Tammo (1 year) and Lasse (4 years), occasionally helping with playing, feeding, changing diapers, washing, brushing teeth, and putting them to bed.

I love working with children, and I enjoy traveling and discovering new cultures. As an au pair, I can combine both of these passions. I love traveling and getting to know new cultures. I also love working with children, and therefore, the Aupair program is the ideal way to combine the two. I have gained a great deal of experience with children aged 2 to 12, and I have always been perceived as patient and level-headed. Furthermore (particularly through babysitting) I have gained significant experience in handling children in challenging situations and taking sole responsibility for them.

I want to become an Au Pair because I love spending time with children. I find child care very rewarding, no matter the age. Being a role model for children and supporting them with personal development are things I respect and strive for. I not only want to babysit your children, but I want to become a friend whom they can relate to and trust. Further, I am particularly excited about learning more about your culture, language, and daily life. I believe that living with your family will allow me to grow personally, become more independent, and share my own culture with you as well. I am looking forward to creating a close and trusting relationship with you and your children and becoming a helpful member of your household. I am flexible, willing to learn, and open to feedback, and I truly want this experience to be enriching for both sides. I have already visited the United States before, and this experience strongly influenced my decision to apply as an Au Pair there. During my stay, I deeply appreciated the openness, approachability, and everyday friendliness I experienced in social interactions. Rather than being a stereotype for me, this was something I noticed consistently in daily situations, such as conversations with locals and everyday encounters. Additionally, I am genuinely interested in American culture and daily life. I would like to understand the country beyond tourism by experiencing family routines, social norms, and everyday responsibilities firsthand.
