Child Care Experience
From January to December 2020, I volunteered in day care with children from 3-6 years of age. I prepared the rooms for breakfast, cleaned up and played with the children. In October 2020, I took care of a group of children from 3-6 years of age. I prepared food and played with the children. From January 2015 to November 2019, I occasionally took care of Swantje (7). I helped with homework and played with the child.

Child Care Experience
I did an internship at an elementary school in June 2023 taking care of children ages 6 to 9 years old. My responsibilities included encouraging students, maintaining order in classroom, supervising, ensuring a safe learning environment, and collaborating with everyone. From July to August 2024, I interned in preschool taking care of children ages 2 to 3 years old. I generally looked after the children whilst playing with them inside or also outside and eating with them. I helped them while getting dressed or washed up. Moreover, I also assisted the kindergarten teachers in general when help was needed in the room of the kindergarten group (tidying up for example) or when they planned something creative.

I like reading, listening to music, meeting friends, watching movies, going to concerts and cooking. I used to dance when I was younger. I also like doing yoga sometimes.

I am kind, reliable and I like spending time with children which is why I want to become a participant. I also think both working and living abroad are valuable experiences. Getting to know a different culture from the one you’re used to is interesting and important for oneself. This is why I also like the idea of working and living with children because I want to give them something they can use for their futures and teach them about my culture as well, whilst I too learn something new from them and the host family in general.

From 10/2019 to 03/2024 I cared for Lara (2) and Tiago (11) a few times a month. My duties included playing, read aloud, preparing food, preparing for sleep, change diaper, and making excursions. From 06/2023 to 03/2024 I cared for Anjali (9 months) 2-3 times a month. My duties included playing, walking, and changing diapers. From 08/2021 until 03/2024 I cared for Rachel (3) and Mascha (9) once a month. I was responsible for preparing meals, preparing for bed and playing. From 08/2023 to 08/2024 I cared for a group of children ages 1-2, 5 times a week. I would prepare food, read and play.

I want to become an au pair participant because I love children. I like to teach them new things and to do this in a playful way. I think it’s a good opportunity to improve my english and learn something about another culture. I’m qualified to participate in the program because I made a lot of experience about working with children during my babysitting and voluntary social year. I wish to become an au pair, because I love spending time with children. Children are simply wonderful, creative, honest and carefree. I may be an only child, but I spend a lot of time with my little cousins and Ida. They are so cute. I would like to get to know the American way of live and culture, celebrate Thanks Giving and Halloween. My greatest wish is to become part of a large, loving and lively family. I want to be an au pair because I enjoy spending my time with children. I would like to become a part of the lives of the children I would take care of and have a positive impact on them. Watching them grow up and helping them along the way there really fills my heart with joy. I also love travelling, getting to know and experiencing different cultures. Being an au pair in the United States would not only allow me to live in this fascinating country with so much to see in the different states, but would also allow me to become a part of the culture. Additionally, it is a great opportunity to improve my English skills and speak with many native speakers. Overall, I would say that I am a responsible, kind, reliable and patient person, who is also first aid certified. All of that makes me a great au pair for your children.
