From January to December 2020, I volunteered in day care with children from 3-6 years of age. I prepared the rooms for breakfast, cleaned up and played with the children. In October 2020, I took care of a group of children from 3-6 years of age. I prepared food and played with the children. From January 2015 to November 2019, I occasionally took care of Swantje (7). I helped with homework and played with the child.

I looked after Sophie (6), Clemens (8) and Valentin (11) from June to August 2023. My responsibilities included playing with the children and planning for their activities. I've looked after Noah (9) since January 2022. I play with him and do different outdoor activities with him. I taught horseback riding in April 2023 to children ages 6 to 16 years old. I supervised the lessons, helped with everyday tasks, played with the children and did fun activities with them.

The main reason [I want to become an au pair] is that I love working with children, looking after them and doing things with them, this is a lot of fun for me. Since I was younger, I started going to kindergarten with my mother, who works there. I also really like getting to know new cultures and countries.

From 07/2023 to 04/2025 I card for children ages 3 to 17 for 5-16 hours a week. I worked at a climbing gym and assisted the children with safety. From 06/2024 to 07/2024 I cared for varies children ages 0 to 17 for 2 weeks. I assisted at a children's hospital. From 07/2023 to 04/2025 I cared for a group of children 3-17 for 5 to 16 hours a week. I would conduct safety briefings, provide ongoing support, make children feel safe, and answer questions.

This program is a great way for me to immerse myself in a new culture, improve my English, and grow personally while doing something I love—caring for children. Being an au pair is more than just a job; it’s a chance to become part of a family, build connections, and create lasting memories. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I love playing with them, reading stories, and helping them grow. My goal as an au pair is to be like a big sister—someone they can have fun with, but also trust and rely on. I am patient and responsible, always ensuring children feel safe, happy, and well cared for. One of my greatest strengths is adaptability. I adjust quickly to new environments, routines, and challenges. I am open-minded, eager to learn, and excited to experience American culture firsthand.

From April 2023, I have occasionally taken care of Cataleya (1). I prepare food, play, and put child to sleep. From July to August 2023, I took care of several children from 6 to 12 years of age for a holiday program. I prepared food, played, organized group meetings and did sports with the children. From the 17th to the 28th of April 2023, I took care of several children from 2 to 6 years of age. I played with the children, talked with and taught the children.

First of all, I love travelling. When I was younger, my family and I visited a lot of German cities. We also hiked in Austria, went camping in France or sightseeing in Belgium and visited my grand-parents in Florida or explored New York. Apart from travelling, I love working with children. In the last years, I was teamleader in various holiday programs where we organized, par example treasure hunts, water games or craft sessions. Last year, I did an internship at an so-called 'early intervention centre', where we help children with specific needs. And therefore a year as an au pair seemed perfect for me.

I have been doing volunteer work at a youth organization for children aged 6 to 16 since April 2019. I participate every two weeks and during special events. My responsibilities include organizing meetings and events, as well as planning and leading games. I completed an internship at an elementary school with children aged 6 to 7 in January 2022. During this time, I looked after the children and even led my own lesson. Since August 2023, I have been caring for Eliane (6) and Cord (4). I take them to the playground or for walks. We often paint, do crafts together, or go swimming on special days. In the evenings, I prepare dinner and put Eliane to bed. From January 2023 to January 2025, I worked as a volleyball coach for children aged 5 to 8. I taught them how to play volleyball and supported them with small tasks during training sessions.

*** First AID *** I would love to become an Au Pair in the USA because it combines my passion for working with children with my desire to experience a new culture. Living with an American family will allow me to immerse myself in the language and traditions, while also sharing my own culture. I have gained valuable experience caring for children of various ages as both a babysitter and a volleyball coach. My responsibilities included entertaining them, spending time with them, and having meals together. I also took for another group of children, also aged 8 to 13, for two weeks in August 2024 during the summer holidays. I love working with children and would like to spend more time with them. I want to experience American culture and see what a typical day is like in an American family. In addition, I’d like to improve my English skills. I consider myself qualified to participate in the EurAupair program because I have worked with many children before and know how to take proper care of them.

I worked at a daycare center from December 2024 to February 2025 taking care of children ages 2 to 6 years old. I played with the children, read books to them, assisted with different tasks, helped them get along, and organized their play area. I've babysat Leon (4) since May 2023. I play with him, assist him with difficult tasks, go for walks and spend time in the garden, and tidy up his toys. Lastly, I babysat Hannes (1) form May to October 2024. I prepared meals, fed him, played with him, visited playgrounds, engaged in creative activities, and cleaned up after him.

Becoming an au pair has been my dream, inspired by my fascination with American culture and my passion for working with children. When I visited the USA, I fell in love with its diversity and way of life. The Au Pair program offers the perfect opportunity to improve my English, experience a new culture, and grow personally by becoming more independent and adaptable. I am qualified for this program due to my experience babysitting younger cousins and family friends, where I organized fun activities, prepared meals, and ensured their well-being. I am also studying pedagogy, which has deepened my understanding of child development and how to support it. My strengths include responsibility, patience, and creativity, which I use to engage children in meaningful activities. I am excited to contribute to a host family while experiencing a cultural exchange that will shape my future.

From 03/2024 to 04/2025 I cared for children ages 4 to 8 for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. I take care of Nela, Tessa and their Brother Kilian while their mother is at meetings or goes to training. Mostly I come from afternoon to evening. In that time we play together, go outside or do other things. In the evening I make them dinner and we eat. Sometimes it’s that late, that I bring them to bed or make them bed ready. From 07/2016 to 04/2025 I cared for Milian (newborn) once a week. I would play, put to bed, and prepare food. From 07/2024 to 09/2024 I cared for Frieda (6) 4-5 times. I would play, tak on walks and prepare meals.

I thought about getting to the USA for a long time, because I always saw videos photos and more about people who live there. I find the USA fascinating and would love to experience the culture and traditions. Furthermore I love spending my time with children, playing with them or doing other things and more with them. This makes me happy, because I see those smiling faces. Then I watched some videos online, where others spokes positively about being an au pair and I researched what it is exactly about. And the thought, to get to know the USA and care about children of a family that I hopefully grow close to, is amazing.
