Child Care Experience
From September 2014 to July 2015, I worked 30 hours per week with a group of children ages 1 to 6 years old. Here, I changed diapers, gave them meals, put them down for naps, played with them, and took them for walks. Additionally, from August 2014 to July 2015, I helped children ages 8 to 12 years old with homework and activities for about 10 hours per week. For the month of May 2016, I worked 35 hours a week with a group of toddlers age 2 to 3 years old. With them, I read books, helped keep them clean, and played with them. I also worked in a kindergarten class for 40 hours a week from February to March 2017 where I read to them, played with them, prepared activities for them, and took them outside. From February to March 2018, I worked with kids age 8 to 18 where I helped with homework, played with them, and prepared activities. I did the same with a classroom of kids age 6 to 8 from November to December 2018 and again from April to May 2019 with a group of kids younger than 6. All of these experiences in classrooms were internships for my degree. Finally, I babysat Neo (2) occasionally since 2018 where I changed his diapers, played with him, cleaned him, fed him, and brought him to bed.
Sports, Interests and Hobbies
Being in nature, going to the gym, watching TV or movies, spending time with family and friends, Harry Potter, The 100, hiking, walking, reading, dancing, zumba, and weightlifting.
I would like to become an au pair in the US because after 17 years of school I would like to see the world and have my own experiences. I love working with kids and have a lot of fun with them. I think being an au pair is a good mix of working with children and traveling. I decided to be an educator for my future job so I think I can apply my knowledge about the development of children very well in my au pair year.
