Child Care Experience
I worked at a kindergarten with children ages 2 to 5 years old for 35 hours a week from July to August 2018. This included soling various problems that arose, doing crafts with them, changing their diapers, reading stories to them, and caring for the children. For one week in September 2017, I worked in a classroom at a primary school with children ages 6 to 10 years old. Here, I helped the children with their homework, supported their learning, and offered them various activities. Since May 2016, I have babysat Anni (5) once a month and still currently do. I prepare meals for her, take her on play dates, and put her to bed. Finally, I have watched my brother Henri (14) since he was little from 2010 to 2017, twice a month, for about 5 hours. I typically play with him, would help him with his homework, read stories to him, and make him dinner.
Sports, Interests and Hobbies
Being creative, doing crafts, relaxing, watching a movie, reading a book, playing board games, hanging out with my friends, going shopping, going to the movies, driving around on Mopeds, horseback riding, table tennis, skiing, and dancing.
I want to become an au pair because I am a person who loves to work with children and who performs this work with great dedication, commitment, and ambition. I have a good combination of work experiences with children so it would be no problem for me to help the children to reach their full potential. I would like to be a part of my host family and it would be lovely if the children accept me not only as an au pair, but also as a big sister and friend. I am an active and creative person who is always motivated and helpful. I am patient and cordial in all situations and am also first aid certified. Two of my strengths are that I am open-minded and very adaptable, which is another reason why I would be a good au pair: I can accustom myself very fast in new situations. Furthermore, I want to improve my English skills, get to know a new culture, and gain life experience.
