Child Care Experience
I watched Sara (8) from 2012 to 2015, occasionally, as needed. This included looking after her while her parents are away. From 2014 to 2016, I babysat Samu (4) when his parents were away. Lastly, I have worked at a kindergarten since mid August 2018 on weekdays with 11 kids, aged 0 to 3. Here, I participate in normal kindergarten stuff like playing with the kids, helping them eat, putting them to sleep, dressing them, helping them go to the bathroom, and leading them on excursions to the library and forest.
Sports, Interests and Hobbies
Going for walks and runs, playing different kinds of sports with my friends, reading, watching movies, music, dancing, baseball, swimming, and surfing.
I want to become an au pair in the USA because I feel like I've missed something big because I don't have younger siblings. I missed the opportunity for an exchange year in the USA and for many years I've felt like it's a huge bummer that I wasn't born and raised in America. I love kids and I would love to be a part of a family where I could be the big sister and spend time daily with the children to see them learn and grow. I feel like my strengths would be my caring attitude and my enthusiasm for new things--in this case, the au pair life and its adventures. Now, after 6 weeks with the little ones in kindergarten, I can say I go to work every day with the biggest smile on my face and leave with a sad face because the day is over with them.
