What to Expect From Your Au Pair From Namibia
Culture in Namibia is a blend of many different people and its culture and customs have absorbed both African and European elements and fused them into a blend of the two. With just 2.1 persons per square kilometer and a population of 2.5 million, Namibia's different cultures span an impressively diverse population for what is a sparsely populated country.
In Namibia, most households are not nuclear families but contain other kin as well. Parents receive substantial help with child-rearing from other family members. It is not unusual for children to live with other relatives if the parents have work obligations, the child needs to be closer to school, or a relative needs a child's help.
Namibian Au Pairs are hard-working and easy going. They come from a rich and diverse cultural and ethnic background and will bring their knowledge to your family.

Child Care Experience
From January to November 2025, I took care of Hugo (20 and Hendrik (3) for eight hours, two days per week. I prepared meals, gave baths, supervised play time, planned activities, helped with the children's laundry and light household cleaning. During the month of June 2025, I took care of Gawie (5) for ten hours per week. I woke the child, prepared food, got the child dressed for school, played and enjoyed reading with the child. From January 2022 to December 2024, I took care of Erlank (12) for six hours per week. I assisted with daily routines and after-school activities, driving to sports, helped with homework and prepared meals. Comments
I love working with children, which is why I wanted to become an au pair. I chose the USA because we have many friends and family members living there, and if I ever feel lonely, it would be comforting to have loved ones nearby. My strengths are that I am very good with children, and I enjoy helping them with anything they need. I truly love taking care of children.
