I took care of Theo Hetzel, 4 years old, and Ida Hetzel, 3 years old, from 02.03.2024 until today. My responsibilities were playing with them, reading books, feeding them, cooking for them, organizing outside activities, doing crafts with them, and getting them ready for sleep. I also provided math tutoring to a 14-year-old student once a week from September 2024 to July 2025, where I helped with math exercises and homework. In July 2023, I completed a three-day internship with children aged 3–6, where I played with them, read books, and did crafting activities together.

I babysat Maria (5) and Valentina (3mths) from February to September 2023. My responsibilities included taking the children to the park, playing with them, putting the baby down for naps, changing diapers, bottle feeding, doing their laundry and cleaning up after them. I looked after Maria (2) form June to August 2024 once a week. I took him to the park, played, fed and bathed him, and read storied to him. I looked after Sharid (10) from March to April 2022 on Sundays. I fed him and helped with homework. I Looked after my cousin Luciana (3) form August to December 2022 twice a week. I prepared meals, did different activities such as arts and crafts, bathed her, brushed her hair and taught her colors and numbers. I volunteered at a school from October 2024 to February 2025. I assisted the teacher with educational activities, supported the children's learning and supervised meal times.

From September to November 2025, I took care of Hugo (7) and Jade (5) every Saturday morning for four hours. I prepared breakfast, gave showers, helped the children get dressed, played board games, and went for walks. From September 2024 to March 2025, I took care for Timeo (7) and Jules (5) on Wednesday afternoons. I prepared lunch, helped with homework and kept the children occupied. From June to July 2025, I took care of Juliette (9) and Clara (6) for eight hours a week. I picked up the children from school, prepared afternoon snacks, and helped with homework.

I would like to join the au pair program in the United States to discover a new culture and have an enriching experience abroad and improving my English. I would like to work in the U.S. later in international business, and living with a host family would allow me to practice English every day. I have gained solid experience in childcare through regular babysitting. I would assist in managing student arrival and departure times, help the teacher, supervise the children during breakfast, lunch, and recess and assist with nap time routines. I've always dreamed of traveling to the USA, exploring new places, and having new experiences. When I found out through a friend that I could travel to the USA while working with children, I immediately started researching it. This experience would also be a wonderful opportunity for me to improve my English. I want to challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone and experiencing a completely new environment. The idea of becoming an Au Pair comes from the fact that my mother was an au pair in the USA when she was my age. She is still in contact with her host family, which I find admirable. I have always been interested in living in the USA and learning about the culture, so spending a year there as an au pair feels natural and exciting to me. The main reason I would like to become an au pair is that I want to improve my English skills, and I genuinely love taking care of children.
