I volunteered at a preschool from February to March 2025 taking care of children ages 1 to 6 years old. I played with the children, assisted with feeding times and aftercare. I babysat Coenraad (5) and Janru (3) from April to September 2024. I played with the children, did arts and crafts with them, took them swimming, prepared meals, fed and bathed them, and put them to bed.

Between August 2022 and January 2024, I cared about Boss, 9 years old. I was teaching him Chinese, assigning homework, and conducting activities to enhance knowledge. For 4 months, between July and November 2024, I supervised group of students aged between 3 years old and 12 years old. I was taking care of the kids in the class, reading stories, and giving clear and consistent instructions for every game and activity. I was also writing reports on their improvement and ensuring that the kids are happy and enjoy the class. In 2023 I cared for a full week for a group of kids, aged between 1 and 2 years old. I was playing with the kids, preparing meals and putting them to bed.

The reason why I want to be an Au Pair is because I want a new experience about childcare. I want to get to know the American life and I want to exchange the culture for other country. I looked after Gabriela (1) and Julieta (3) from February to November 2020. My responsibilities included changing diapers, bathing, dressing, prepared meals, helping with homework and doing fun activities with them. I babysat Antonella (3) and Gabriel (7) from December 2023 to January 2024. I took Gabriel to soccer practices and Antonella to the park or the library, I played with both of them and bathed Antonella. Lastly, I worked at a preschool from November 2024 to January 2025 taking care of a goup of children ages 3 to 5 years old. I played with them, took them to the park, and prepared snacks for them.

I want to be an au pair because ever since I can remember I have always loved children, their spectacular way of seeing the world, their innocence and their joy. I love animals and one of my goals in life is to be able to help all kinds of creatures, including children. Leaving my comfort zone and living in another country is an enriching experience because I will be able to learn a thousand new things about a new culture and I will be able to take a little piece of my country with me. Participating in the exchange program is a personal challenge for me because I want to take on new responsibilities. Of course, I know it won't be easy, but I believe that if we want something, we have to work hard to get it. It is also the best way to improve my English and practice it.

From January to May 2024, I have helped out in the Incredible Kids Daycare with children from 3 months to 11 years of age. I helped with feeding, burping, changing diapers, playing, putting the children down for naps and keeping them busy. From April to August 2023, I took care of Mia (9), Phillip (4) and Dazel (3) twice. I helped at children's parties with face painting, set up, developed ways to entertain the children and watched the children while they were playing and interacting with the various party stations. From June to July 2022, I took care of Sophia (3) twice. I helped with feeding, playing with learning activities, putting down for naps, outdoor activities and keeping child entertained.

I want to participate in the Au Pair program because I would like to live the experience of getting to know another culture and a country different from mine, learning their language and being able to improve my English with native people doing what I like, which is taking care of children. I consider myself qualified for the program because I have experience caring for children from 3 months to 12 years of age, I work as a substitute teacher's assistant in a school with children from 3 to 16 years of age as a writing and reading reinforcement teacher and also taking care of the children at the end of the student session. One of my biggest dreams is to travel through the world, and meet different places and different cultures, and I can do that with this program. I wanted to go to countries like U.S.A, France, Spain, and others, so when I discovered this program, I saw an opportunity that I should take to make my dream come true.
