All of our au pairs we place in the U.S. speak English, but for many, it is not their native language. Immersion in an English-speaking culture improves their language skills, although EurAupair screens au pairs to be sure their level of English is appropriate and will allow them to be functional on their very first day in the U.S. Our objective evaluation of the au pair’s English is provided to you as part of their application package, and you get a chance to interview your au pair prior to placing with her in order to ensure her English level matches your expectations.

**I am willing to take care of children ages 2 yeas and older.** In July 2023, I cared for a group of children aged between 6 and 10 years old. I was their animator. From June 2019 to September 2023, I cared for Charlie (1). We played together, we went for walks, I bathed her and I prepared some activities. From September 2022 to July 2023, I cared for Arwenn (13) and Gabriel (10). I helped with their homework and took care of them.

I have a deep passion for American culture, particularly its language, music, appeal, and landscapes. Caring for children aged 4 to 13 has strengthened my commitment to their well-being and education. I've introduced children to various activities, such as new sports, music genres, cuisines… My top priority has always been children's safety, and I've developed conflict resolution skills. From February to August 2024, I looked after a group children ages 3 to 12 years old. My responsibilities included facilitating kids' groups, ensuring safety, leading games, helping with meals, doing activities with the kids, hygiene tasks, and cleaning up. I was a youth activity leader during school holidays looking after children ages 6 to 12 years old. My responsibilities included serving meals, helping with bedtime, waking up the kids, and doing activities during the day. I worked at a summer camp in July 2024 taking care of children ages 13 to 17 years old. My responsibilities included creating a safe environment for the children while teaching them the culture of Italy, camping in tents, going on cultural visits with the kids, cooking meals outdoors and bedtime. Lastly, I worked at a ski camp in February 2025 taking care of a group of children ages 6 to 14 years old. My responsibilities included helping the kids with skiing activities, leading various activities, supervising meal time/shower time, and transporting.

I want to become an au pair because it is a wonderful opportunity to travel, discover a new culture, and connect with people in a truly unique way. Being part of a family abroad feels like the best way to really understand the culture. It also gives me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and learn more about the world and about myself. I especially enjoy spending time with children. During my experience working in summer camps, I dedicated every moment to making sure each child has an amazing time—helping them dream, building their self-confidence, and teaching them the importance of living together with strong values such as solidarity, empathy, and patience. From September 2023 to May 2025, I also looked after Céleste, from the age of 1 to 3 years old. During this time, I played with her, supervised her activities, fed her, and read bedtime stories. I also took care of Kimi (ages 3 to 12) from April 2016 to January 2026, 4–6 hours per week. I took care of Maëva from 4 to 10 years old, Maëlys from 7 months to 6 years old, and Timéo from 1 to 3 years old occasionally during school breaks between August 2019 and September 2025. From June 2025 to August 2025, I cared for Lucas, who is 4 years old, and Agathe, who is 1.5 years old, during the week and school breaks. Additionally, in July 2025, I supervised a group of 25 children aged 2 to 14 during a 40th birthday party. My responsibilities included organizing games, creating an escape game for the older kids, feeding them dinner, and supervising their sleep time.

I want to be part of the au pair exchange program because I have always wanted to discover new cultures and new countries. Becoming an au pair in the USA has been a dream of mine since middle school. For me, it’s the best way to discover the country, not just as a tourist, but by living with a family and sharing their daily life. I have always liked cultural exchanges and experiences abroad because I think they help us grow and learn about different ways of life. Joining the Au Pair program in the United States is a great opportunity for me to discover American culture and share my own. One of the most meaningful experiences in my life was my two-month humanitarian mission in Togo, Africa. I worked in an orphanage where I took care of young children: helping them get dressed, feeding them, playing with them, and giving them comfort. I really enjoy working with children. I like helping them in their daily activities, teaching them new things, and seeing them grow in a safe and structured environment. I was responsible for playing with Lucien, feeding him, changing Juliette’s diaper, organizing activities both inside and outside, and putting her down for a nap. My responsibilities included preparing activities, changing diapers, and assisting the children during mealtimes.
