We have the legal designation from the U.S. Department of State and the experience to help you find the right au pair for your family. We place au pairs from five different continents now, but European au pairs remain at the heart of our program.
All of our au pairs we place in the U.S. speak English, but for many, it is not their native language. Immersion in an English-speaking culture improves their language skills, although EurAupair screens au pairs to be sure their level of English is appropriate and will allow them to be functional on their very first day in the U.S. Our objective evaluation of the au pair’s English is provided to you as part of their application package, and you get a chance to interview your au pair prior to placing with her in order to ensure her English level matches your expectations.

From 02/2022 to 01/2025 I cared for Souayden (1) on occasion. My responsibilities included: feeding him, going for a walk, playing together, overseeing nap time, and bathing him. From 07/2021 to 08/2022 I cared for children ages 3 to 11 for 35 hours a week. My responsibilities included: driving the van to take them to the pool, supervising them during the pool and lake outings, taking care of sun protection, caps, armbands if necessary, supervision during nap, helping with meals, giving snacks, and doing indoor or outdoor activities. I have always liked cultural exchanges and experiences abroad because I think they help us grow and learn about different ways of life. Joining the Au Pair program in the United States is a great opportunity for me to discover American culture and share my own. One of the most meaningful experiences in my life was my two-month humanitarian mission in Togo, Africa. I worked in an orphanage where I took care of young children: helping them get dressed, feeding them, playing with them, and giving them comfort. I really enjoy working with children. What I love most when I’m with children is doing creative activities, playing board games, or going to the park. I love these kinds of activities because they allow children to express themselves, bring us closer together, and when I do things they enjoy, it makes me happy. I was lucky to take part in a humanitarian trip to Togo with my class, where we helped renovate a school and visited an orphanage. For me, this is something that is close to my heart, and I look forward to passing it on in the future. I also did an internship in a nursery.

I would like to become an au pair in the United States because I love taking care of children, and this experience will help me confirm my choice to work with them in the future. The BAFA training (French childcare diploma) gave me solid experience to care for children safely and playfully. My past experiences babysitting, working in day camp centers, and supporting children in foster care or people with disabilities helped me develop valuable skills that will be strong assets as an au pair. Being a driver is also an advantage, as it allows me to safely accompany children in their daily activities. I have already visited the United States and enjoyed American culture. I have a deep passion for American culture, particularly its language, music, appeal, and landscapes.
