Child Care Experience

From January to December 2020, I volunteered in day care with children from 3-6 years of age. I prepared the rooms for breakfast, cleaned up and played with the children. In October 2020, I took care of a group of children from 3-6 years of age. I prepared food and played with the children. From January 2015 to November 2019, I occasionally took care of Swantje (7). I helped with homework and played with the child.

I would love to learn more about the American culture and I want to improve my English skills. I love children and spending time with them. It has been my dream to go to the US since I am little.

Child Care Experience

I took care of Lina Ginter, who is 11 years old, during the school holidays in March, May, and August 2024. My responsibilities included preparing breakfast and lunch and doing activities with her. I also completed two internships in a kindergarten for children aged 3 to 6 years. The internships took place from August 3 to August 6, 2020. During this time, I played with the children, did crafts, made tea, swept the room, and helped the children with toileting and dressing. In addition, I cared for Samu Hiemer (7 years old) and Laura Hiemer (5 years old) from February 2023 to December 2023. My tasks included making dinner, playing with the children, helping them with homework, and putting them to bed. Most recently, I looked after Elaine Würz (14 years old) and Iliana Würz (12 years old) from October 2024 to January 2025. Over the three months, I played with them, prepared their meals, and drove them to their hobbies.

I want to become an AuPair because I’ve been interested in it since I was 14. I really enjoy working with children and supporting their development. I’m good with children and able to empathize with them easily.

Child Care Experience

From 03/2024 to 04/2025 I cared for children ages 4 to 8 for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. I take care of Nela, Tessa and their Brother Kilian while their mother is at meetings or goes to training. Mostly I come from afternoon to evening. In that time we play together, go outside or do other things. In the evening I make them dinner and we eat. Sometimes it’s that late, that I bring them to bed or make them bed ready. From 07/2016 to 04/2025 I cared for Milian (newborn) once a week. I would play, put to bed, and prepare food. From 07/2024 to 09/2024 I cared for Frieda (6) 4-5 times. I would play, tak on walks and prepare meals.

I thought about getting to the USA for a long time, because I always saw videos photos and more about people who live there. I find the USA fascinating and would love to experience the culture and traditions. Furthermore I love spending my time with children, playing with them or doing other things and more with them. This makes me happy, because I see those smiling faces. Then I watched some videos online, where others spokes positively about being an au pair and I researched what it is exactly about. And the thought, to get to know the USA and care about children of a family that I hopefully grow close to, is amazing.

From 10/2020 to 04/2025 i cared for children ages 2-7 for 20 hours a week. I was responsible for looking after the children, changing nappies, playing games, documenting development, going on excursions and doing handicrafts. From 02/2024 to 04/2025 I cared for 22 children ages 2-7 for 20 hours a week. I was responsible for the children, changing nappies, playing games, documenting development documenting development, going on excursions and doing handicrafts. From 07/2020 to 07/2024 I cared for children ages 9 -14 for 10 days a year. I would care for the group and help with food and activities.

I want to become an au pair in the USA because it offers a unique opportunity to combine my love for children with my desire to experience a new culture. Living with an American host family will allow me to improve my English skills, learn about daily life in the United States, and share my own culture in return. I’m also excited to meet new people, travel to different places, and grow as a person through this experience. My strengths are patience, a sense of duty, humor and optimism.

I took care of Irmak, who is 8 years old, from May 2024 to June 2024. My responsibilities included doing creative activities, teaching games, preparing meals and snacks, and handcrafting. I took care of Mustafa, who is 9 years old, from January 2023 to March 2023. My responsibilities included assisting with homework, playing games, preparing and serving meals, and taking the child to outdoor activities. I took care of Eymen, who is 6 years old, from October 2021 to January 2022. My responsibilities included playing games and engaging in outdoor activities.

I am so excited to be a part of this program because it offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange, personal growth, and meaningful experiences. I enjoy interacting with children, organizing creative activities, and providing a safe and nurturing environment. I have developed skills such as patience, communication, and problem-solving through my previous experience in caring for children. I am excited to learn about American culture, share my own traditions with them, and create lasting bonds with my host family. This experience will allow me to step outside my comfort zone, explore new places, and broaden my perspective. I am very motivated to embrace this journey, contribute positively to the daily lives of my host family, and grow both personally and professionally through this incredible change.

From February to present, I take care of Anina (4), one day a week. I care for, tutor and play with the child. From May 2024 to present, I take care of Selena (15), for two hours, twice a week. I help with studying. From March to December 2022, I took care of Leo (8) and Gul (13), one day a week. I tutored for school projects. From January to April 2022, I took care of Aicha (2) and Hakim (6) for three to four hours one day a week. I helped with laundry, took children outside, played, did cleaning and helped with homework.

I have a great love for children, as they bring me immense joy. I can never get enough of their lovely innocent personalities and their honesty. I am interested in experiencing a new family life that offers a different cultural context from my own. I would love to learn a new culture and improve my English language skills.

I've been caring for Nia (1) since July 2023. I take her to the playground and play with her. I am first aid certified. I have experience in caring for children with special needs. I cared for Emiliya every other weekend from January to June 2023. My responsibilities were preparing meals, playing with her and putting her to bed. I also cared for Lea (11), Mia (9) and Niklas (11) every other weekend for 3 months in 2023. I prepared meals and put them to bed. Between March and July 2023, I cared for Mira (10). I helped with homework and played with her. Lastly, in 2021, I watched Daniel (11). I cooked for him, helped with homework and swimming.

**Olivia would like to care for children ages 5 years and older** I babysat Emil (6) and Adam (5) from August 2021 to August 2022 once a week. I played with the children and prepared meals for them. I did an internship at an elementary school from February to July 2025 taking care of children ages 6 to 10 years old. My duties included tutoring, helping with homework, and supervising meal times. I've looked after my siblings Nolan (2) and Alamea (6) since June 2017 . I help with homework, play sports with them, read with them, prepare meals and go for walks with them.

I want to become an Au Pair in the USA because I love spending time with children and enjoy helping them grow and feel safe. I grew up with four younger siblings, I babysit and also do an internship at an elementary school, where I support kids during class and after-school time. Through these experiences, I’ve learned to be patient, flexible, and caring. I believe I’m a good fit for the EurAupair program because I’m open-minded, warm-hearted, and responsible.
