Child Care Experience
From 03/2024 to 04/2025 I cared for children ages 4 to 8 for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. I take care of Nela, Tessa and their Brother Kilian while their mother is at meetings or goes to training. Mostly I come from afternoon to evening. In that time we play together, go outside or do other things. In the evening I make them dinner and we eat. Sometimes it’s that late, that I bring them to bed or make them bed ready. From 07/2016 to 04/2025 I cared for Milian (newborn) once a week. I would play, put to bed, and prepare food. From 07/2024 to 09/2024 I cared for Frieda (6) 4-5 times. I would play, tak on walks and prepare meals.

I thought about getting to the USA for a long time, because I always saw videos photos and more about people who live there. I find the USA fascinating and would love to experience the culture and traditions. Furthermore I love spending my time with children, playing with them or doing other things and more with them. This makes me happy, because I see those smiling faces. Then I watched some videos online, where others spokes positively about being an au pair and I researched what it is exactly about. And the thought, to get to know the USA and care about children of a family that I hopefully grow close to, is amazing.

From 07/2024 to 02/2025 I cared for Bruno (1) on occasion. I would cared for him, feed, change diapers, and help with nap time. From 08/2025 to 11/2025 I cared for Franco (6) and Mia (11) every day. I would play with them, entertain, and help with homework. From 01/2024 to 12/2024 I cared for children ages 2 to 12 on the weekends. I would do volunteer work with with children in need.

I want to become an au pair candidate because I deeply believe that this program will allow me to grow both personally and professionally. For me, being an au pair is not just about living in another country; it represents an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and immerse myself in experiences that will challenge me and help me evolve as a person. From 01/2019 to 08/2025 I cared for my brother Kirill (6) on occasion. My responsibilities included helping with homework and studying, playing games, cooking meals, and to watch him when parents are not home. From 09/2025 to 10/2025 I cared for children ages 6 to 10 for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I was responsible for helping with homework, helping students in class, entertaining children, spending time with them and helping supervising at free time activities. From 07/2025 to 08/2025 I cared for children ages 3-6 for 7 hours a day, 4 days a week. I was responsible for assisting with supervising the children during free play & guided activities, helping with meals, supporting hygiene routines, participating in creative & educational activities.

I want to be an Au Pair because I like to spend time with children and to gain more experience with childcare. I also want to visit USA and learn more about its culture and to learn more about living in the USA. I consider myself qualified to participate in the EurAupair program because I can be attentive to their needs, I can be patient, empathetic and understanding. There are many ways to show children in creative ways the world and do some creative works or to go with them outside in the nature.

I have worked at a holiday camp since February 2022 occasionally taking care of children ages 3 to 13 years old. I supervise and accompany the children during activities such as cooking, baking and bowling. I have babysat Rafael (1) since December 2023 occasionally. I play with him, take care of him, feed him, change his diapers and clothes. I've babysat Fabienne (3) and Paulina (1) since August 2022. I play with them, feed them, and help with toilet training and bathroom routine. I was a volunteer at a school from September 2024 to September 2025 taking care of children ages 5 to 7 years old. My duties included helping with school tasks and daily tasks, nursing- helping to use the toilet and changing diapers, break supervision, singing, dancing, and crafts.

I want to become an au pair in the USA because it brings together many things that are important to me. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. During my volunteer year, I work with children every day and it never gets boring or repetitive. I am patient, loving and caring- even in difficult or stressful situations. Communication is really important to me and I am able to reflect myself and my behavior. With that, I am also pretty family-oriented. Traveling to a new country and completely being on my own doesn’t feel right for me. That’s why my host family is very important to me. I would love to become a part of your daily life and build a warm and trusting relationship. Additionally I have always been fascinated by the USA and being an au pair feels like the perfect way to combine my love for childcare with the chance to experience every day life in the USA.

From January 2022, I have taken care of Leonard (1) once a month. I take care of the child, prepare meals, play games, and pick up the child from Kindergarten. From August 2025, I have taken care of Matheo (8) once a week. I help with homework and explain exercises to the child. From October 2025, I have taken care of Rosalie (8) for one hour per week. I explain and help with homework. From January to November 2025, I helped out with a group of ten to fifteen children from 11 to 14 years of age once a month. I monitored and explained dance steps to the children. From January 2022 to August 2023, I took care of Lotta (10), Klara (9) and Mara (12) once a week. I taught riding and explained how to handle a horse to the children.

I would like to become an au pair because I enjoy taking care of children. I really enjoy playing with them and explaining new things to them. I have a lot of experience with children, as I often babysit my little nephews and train a dance group with about 10 children. For this reason, I think I would be a good fit as an au pair. My strengths are reliability and a sense of responsibility.
