Child Care Experience
From January to February 2026, I took care of Jose (4), for fifteen days. I was responsible for the child's safety and well-being, supervised the child at all times, prepared food, maintained the child's hygiene, helped get the child dressed, maintained a daily routine, and carried out educational activities. From June to December 2025, I took care of Adhara (newborn) between ten and nineteen hours per week. I prepared and fed bottles, changed diapers, helped with sleep and a sleep schedule, took care of the baby's hygiene, maintained a safe and calm environment, washed and organized the baby's clothes, and gave attention, affection and age-appropriate stimulation to the baby. From June 2024 to May 2025, I took care of Heimar (11) and Valery (7). I helped the children get ready for school, organized their clothes, made sure they were ready on time, assisted with daily routines, prepared meals, helped with homework, playtime, activities and maintained a safe environment.

I took care of Scarlet Sanchez, 1 year old, and Samuel Suarez, 6 years old, from June 2024 to January 2025. My responsibilities included helping them with their homework, feeding them, bathing them, and providing early stimulation. I worked with a group of children between 2 to 11 years old from December 2024 to May 2025. I guided dance sessions for young girls, assisted with warm-up and cool-down routines, ensured safety during activities, helped with dressing and preparation, encouraged discipline and focus, and supported the girls in starting ballet lessons. I also cared for a group of children between 3 to 5 years old from February 2024 to August 2024. My responsibilities included supervising children during free play and organized activities, assisting with meals and snacks, supporting hygiene routines, and helping with early learning tasks such as coloring, storytelling, and basic numbers.

First of all, becoming an au pair exchange program participant in the USA is the opportunity to keep on working with children since that is what I like the most. Also, because I want to improve my English oral skills, visit new places, learn about a new culture and share my own with my host family. Secondly, I consider I am responsible, independent, attentive, honest, empathic, hardworking and lovely. All those personaly traits are bland skills I can use for taking care of the children and making of this experience the best one ever. Furthermore, all my knowledge and the experience working with children as a nurse assistant is the most valuable strength I have for assiting the children in any urgency or emergency. Also, I know how to give First Aid Assistance in any unexpected situation.

I babysat Sabrina (2) from February 2023 to April 2024. I prepared meals, fed and bathed her, changed diapers, helped with potty training, and put her down for naps. I like to make them smile, for example by making funny faces when they are upset to help them feel better. I worked at a summer camp, where I learned how to take care of a small group of children. I want to be an AUPAIR because I consider it a good opportunity to acquire English as a second language and because is likes to spend time with children. I chose the United States because of the language, because of the American families, because I would like to get to know a large part of this country like New York, Los Angeles, Boston, because I will be able to practice the English language every day with my host family, especially with the children. My connection with children, it is easy for me to establish a relationship and make them feel safe and confident. I always try to be a good adult for children.
