Child Care Experience
From May 2022 to March 2023, I took care of Jingye (8) and Pan (7) for three hours, twice per week. I helped the children take their temperature, assisted the teachers with grading homework, maintained classroom discipline, helped the children record and edit videos, counted the children and helped to safely hand over the children to their parents. From June 2021 to May 2022, I took care of Zihao (1) for three hours, three times per week. I did laundry, made the bed, pushed the stroller, taught the child some basic English and math, and read stories during naptime. From January 2018 to December 2020, I took care of Mengran (9) for three hours, two times per week. I played with the child, taught the child to recognize numbers, ensured the child's safety when walking, took the child to the park, and supervised the child's meals.

I love children very much. I often volunteer for sick children in my spare time, and for a period of time. I help children recognize Chinese and English, help them complete their homework, and assist in order at daycare centers. I often encounter different Chinese and foreign children, all of whom I like and pay attention to. I help children find lost little toys, and if they can’t find their parents, I hold their little hands and shout loudly. I have also helped different neighbors take care of their children for a period of time, pick them up and drop them off from school, so I have some experiences dealing with children, I think I can take good care of children, listen to their thoughts, play with them, and I also want to go to another place to experience the local customs and traditions, to feel how to communicate and get along with children under the collision of two cultures.
Child Care Experience
I took care of Shikai Ma, 1 year old, from 10/2021 to 07/2024, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 4 hours per day. I managed the child’s daily diet, patiently feeding him and ensuring proper nutritional intake. I accompanied him in various activities, including playing with building blocks, reading picture books, and engaging in parent-child games to enrich his daily entertainment. I arranged a reasonable schedule, coaxed and accompanied him to sleep on time, and ensured sufficient rest. I also took him for outdoor activities, exposing him to nature and teaching simple knowledge about the environment. Additionally, I assisted with personal hygiene care, including washing and changing laundry. I cared for Xueyi Ma, 6 years old, from 01/2019 to 08/2021, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 5 hours per day. I was responsible for the child’s daily routines, including washing, dressing, dining, and napping. I accompanied educational activities, such as picture book reading, manual creation, and outdoor exploration, to help the child learn and cultivate interests. I guided the child in developing good habits, including following a regular schedule, organizing independently, and practicing sharing and cooperation. I prioritized safety, monitoring both indoor and outdoor activities and identifying environmental hazards to keep the child safe. I also communicated daily with parents regarding the child’s diet, emotions, and learning progress, and coordinated parenting arrangements. I tutored Qiang Wu, 13 years old, from 09/2024 to 02/2025, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 8 hours per day. I assisted with homework across various junior high school subjects, answered questions, and expanded knowledge. I helped cultivate healthy study habits and guided him to follow a regular schedule. I also accompanied the development of interest activities, such as basketball, and guided reading and communication to enhance comprehension and reading skills. Additionally, I assisted in planning learning tasks and organizing daily necessities.

For me, this is not only an overseas experience but also a cornerstone of my career as an educator. I hope this experience will help me clarify my original intention: education is never a one-way output but a process of mutual growth. Firstly, I majored in Education during my undergraduate studies, giving me a solid professional knowledge base and theoretical background. Secondly, I have an outgoing and cheerful personality; I am gentle, kind, and empathetic, which makes it easy for me to establish emotional connections with children. I also have multiple experiences interacting with children. Thirdly, I have a wide range of interests and hobbies, many talents, and skills in various sports. I took care of a group of kids, aged 3 to 5, from June 2024 to January 2025, working 5 days a week. I assisted with gymnastics classes for them. I also worked with a group of kids, aged 3 to 12, from March 2023 to December 2023, assisting with swimming classes three times per week. In addition, I helped Elian, a 9-year-old, from January 2024 to June 2024, three times per week. I assisted with getting to and from school, helped with school activities, and took care of him. I also took care of a baby girl (1 year old) between March 2022 and December 2022, and my responsibilities were changing diapers, taking care of her, preparing meals, and taking her to the park.

I believe it is very important to listen to children and value their opinions. I am a very patient person and can handle different situations while always ensuring the children's well-being and safety. I would love to introduce them to my passion for dance and, if they are interested, create fun little performances together. I also look forward to sharing my French and Beninese cultures with them while learning about their culture in return.
