Child Care Experience
I took care of Sara, an 8-year-old girl, from June 2021 to July 2022. My responsibilities included taking her to and picking her up from school, giving her lunch, preparing and serving snacks, checking her daily school activities, and guiding her with homework. I also engaged her in different activities such as playing games, doing handicrafts, solving puzzles, and enjoying board games together. From November 2023 to February 2024, I cared for Dulce, a 2-year-old girl. I picked her up from kindergarten, gave her lunch, helped with school-related activities, and played with her. We did various creative activities she enjoyed, such as painting and making crafts. I also got her belongings ready for the next day, made her dinner, and helped her prepare for bed. Currently, since September 2024, I have been taking care of Ammy, a 6-month-old baby. My duties include bathing her, feeding her, changing diapers, helping her take naps, and monitoring her while she sleeps.

I sincerely enjoy spending time with children and being part of their daily lives. With them, I love organizing games, doing creative activities, cooking, drawing, reading stories, or simply sharing meaningful moments together. I especially enjoy seeing their curiosity, imagination, and enthusiasm grow. Every child is unique, and I like taking the time to understand each one in order to offer activities that are adapted to their interests and personality. For me, the au pair experience is a true cultural exchange where everyone has the opportunity to learn from one another.

I like to make them smile, for example by making funny faces when they are upset to help them feel better. I worked at a summer camp, where I learned how to take care of a small group of children. Since I was little, I like taking care of children. Every time there are children, such as family meals or holidays, I spend my time with them and I like to be with them. I have always liked to play, chat and do activities to see them having fun. For me, seeing happy children is the most beautiful reward. I appreciate the more responsible part of taking care of them : meals, bedtime, helping them with hygiene and homeworks. I like to ensure their well-being and development. I find children fascinating because they are curious, spontaneous and full of energy. I also chose to volunteer in a day camp center and even interned in a school.
