Child Care Experience
I did an internship at a nursery in April 2025 taking care of children ages 6 months to 3 years old. My responsibilities included helping with meal preparation, changing diapers, doing activities with children, monitoring the kids during nap time. I was a teacher's assistant from September 2023 to June 2025 as needed taking care of children ages 2 to 5 years old. My responsibilities included supervising kids during recess, class time and meals; and helping the classroom assistants and teachers manage the kids. I did an internship at a nursery from April to May 2026 taking care of children ages 3 months to 3 years old. My responsibilities included helping with meals, assisting with hygiene care, doing diaper changes, and doing activities. Finally, I was a student intern at pediatric emergency room from June to July 2026 caring for children ages 4 days to 18 year old. My responsibilities included helping with perfusions, bandages, nose cleaning, urine samples, taking vital signes (blood pressure, temperature, weight saturation), accompanying the parents and helping the kids together.

Child Care Experience
I took care of Shikai Ma, 1 year old, from 10/2021 to 07/2024, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 4 hours per day. I managed the child’s daily diet, patiently feeding him and ensuring proper nutritional intake. I accompanied him in various activities, including playing with building blocks, reading picture books, and engaging in parent-child games to enrich his daily entertainment. I arranged a reasonable schedule, coaxed and accompanied him to sleep on time, and ensured sufficient rest. I also took him for outdoor activities, exposing him to nature and teaching simple knowledge about the environment. Additionally, I assisted with personal hygiene care, including washing and changing laundry. I cared for Xueyi Ma, 6 years old, from 01/2019 to 08/2021, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 5 hours per day. I was responsible for the child’s daily routines, including washing, dressing, dining, and napping. I accompanied educational activities, such as picture book reading, manual creation, and outdoor exploration, to help the child learn and cultivate interests. I guided the child in developing good habits, including following a regular schedule, organizing independently, and practicing sharing and cooperation. I prioritized safety, monitoring both indoor and outdoor activities and identifying environmental hazards to keep the child safe. I also communicated daily with parents regarding the child’s diet, emotions, and learning progress, and coordinated parenting arrangements. I tutored Qiang Wu, 13 years old, from 09/2024 to 02/2025, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 8 hours per day. I assisted with homework across various junior high school subjects, answered questions, and expanded knowledge. I helped cultivate healthy study habits and guided him to follow a regular schedule. I also accompanied the development of interest activities, such as basketball, and guided reading and communication to enhance comprehension and reading skills. Additionally, I assisted in planning learning tasks and organizing daily necessities.

For me, this is not only an overseas experience but also a cornerstone of my career as an educator. I hope this experience will help me clarify my original intention: education is never a one-way output but a process of mutual growth. Firstly, I majored in Education during my undergraduate studies, giving me a solid professional knowledge base and theoretical background. Secondly, I have an outgoing and cheerful personality; I am gentle, kind, and empathetic, which makes it easy for me to establish emotional connections with children. I babysat Greta (5) from July to August 2025. I organized activities for her, took her to the park to play, prepared meals and did some light household chores. From December 2025 to January 2026, I looked after a group of 4 to 10 years old children at a recreational center. My responsibilities included supervising and caring for the children, organizing and managing activities that were appropriate for their age levels, ensuring the safety of the children, and supporting their daily needs.

I love children very much. I often volunteer for sick children in my spare time, and for a period of time. I help children recognize Chinese and English, help them complete their homework, and assist in order at daycare centers. I often encounter different Chinese and foreign children, all of whom I like and pay attention to. I help children find lost little toys, and if they can’t find their parents, I hold their little hands and shout loudly. I have also helped different neighbors take care of their children for a period of time, pick them up and drop them off from school, so I have some experiences dealing with children, I think I can take good care of children, listen to their thoughts, play with them, and I also want to go to another place to experience the local customs and traditions, to feel how to communicate and get along with children under the collision of two cultures.
