Child Care Experience
From February to August 2024, I looked after a group children ages 3 to 12 years old. My responsibilities included facilitating kids' groups, ensuring safety, leading games, helping with meals, doing activities with the kids, hygiene tasks, and cleaning up. I was a youth activity leader during school holidays looking after children ages 6 to 12 years old. My responsibilities included serving meals, helping with bedtime, waking up the kids, and doing activities during the day. I worked at a summer camp in July 2024 taking care of children ages 13 to 17 years old. My responsibilities included creating a safe environment for the children while teaching them the culture of Italy, camping in tents, going on cultural visits with the kids, cooking meals outdoors and bedtime. Lastly, I worked at a ski camp in February 2025 taking care of a group of children ages 6 to 14 years old. My responsibilities included helping the kids with skiing activities, leading various activities, supervising meal time/shower time, and transporting.

I want to become an au pair because it is a wonderful opportunity to travel, discover a new culture, and connect with people in a truly unique way. Being part of a family abroad feels like the best way to really understand the culture. It also gives me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and learn more about the world and about myself. I especially enjoy spending time with children. During my experience working in summer camps, I dedicated every moment to making sure each child has an amazing time—helping them dream, building their self-confidence, and teaching them the importance of living together with strong values such as solidarity, empathy, and patience. I also have my BAFA, a youth worker diploma.

From 02/2021 to 09/2021 I cared for Danna (4) for 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. I would help to bathe, dress, brush her hair, sleep and tell her stories. From 03/2023 to 06/2023 and then from 02/2025 to 07/2025 I cared for Zoe (11 months) for 4 hours a day, 4 days a week. I would change her diapers, give her baby bottles, teach her how to walk and spend time in the nature. From 09/2024 to 12/2024 I cared for Danay (2) for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. First of all, becoming an au pair exchange program participant in the USA is the opportunity to keep on working with children since that is what I like the most. Also, because I want to improve my English oral skills, visit new places, learn about a new culture and share my own with my host family. Secondly, I consider I am responsible, independent, attentive, honest, empathic, hardworking and lovely. All those personaly traits are bland skills I can use for taking care of the children and making of this experience the best one ever. Furthermore, all my knowledge and the experience working with children as a nurse assistant is the most valuable strength I have for assiting the children in any urgency or emergency. Also, I know how to give First Aid Assistance in any unexpected situation.

From 07/2024 to 11/2024 I cared for Sara (5) for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. I helped her with her homework and accompanied her to her swimming and skating classes. We shared unforgettable moments playing, dancing, cooking, and doing her hair, enjoying every activity together. From 04/2024 to 05/2024 I cared for Julieta (6 months) 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. I was responsible for bathing and dressing her, changing her diapers, preparing her bottle and meals. Additionally, I spent time playing with her and doing early stimulation activities to help her start crawling. From 02/2025 to 03/2025 I cared for children ages 1-6 for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I assisted in coordinating classes and activities such as games, robotics, experiments, crafts, motor skills, and pre-writing exercises.

From June 2023 to January 2024, I took care of a group of children from 3 to 17 years of age three times per week as a swimming instructor. For Gabriel, who is ten years old, from December 2024 to May 2025 on weekends for eight hours, I looked after him, taking him to and from his music and martial arts classes. I prepared his meals, organized his belongings, and assisted with his bedtime routine. We also enjoyed activities together, including going to the park, swimming, watching movies, and doing crafts. At Sarahy Kindergarten, from May 2025 to August 2025, Monday to Friday for four hours per day, I assisted the teachers with children aged one to five. I helped with daily routines such as meals, nap time, hygiene, and diaper changes, and I supported classroom activities including games, crafts, singing, and motor skills exercises, always ensuring the children’s well-being and safety.
