Child Care Experience

From October 2020 to October 2024, I cared for children and teenagers aged 5 to 16 years old three to five days per week, supervising children, organizing games, sports, and recreational activities, assisting with meals and hygiene, maintaining safety and discipline, managing group dynamics, resolving emergencies, and communicating with parents and coordinators. From August 8, 2022, to August 13, 2022, I cared for a group of girls aged 5 to 8 years old, supervising daily activities, organizing games and recreational programs, supporting feeding and hygiene routines, ensuring safety, managing the group, and encouraging teamwork and positive social interaction. From June 2023 to July 2023, I provided childcare for Aaron Garcia, which was 2 years old, preparing meals, changing diapers, assisting with hygiene, maintaining sleep routines, and engaging the child in age-appropriate play and activities.

Child Care Experience

I've looked after Tosca (9) since January 2023. My responsibilities include helping with homework, taking her to sports practices, cooking meals for her, keeping her company, and playing with her. From April 2025 to September 2026, I worked at a beach club taking care of children ages 4 to 9 years old. My responsibilities included organizing activitesi for the children, helping with meal times, playing games with the children, and supervising them.

I chose to become an au pair because I genuinely adore working with children. I love being a positive influence in their lives, making them laugh, and creating wonderful memories they will cherish forever! I enjoy inventing new games, teaching them new things, and making every moment special. From 03/2025 to 12/2025 I cared for Louise (3) , Ben (12) and Lucas (9) for 4 hours a week. My responsibilities included: picking up from school, doing activities, playing games, going on walks, going to the park, helping with homework, and giving them a bath. From 03/2025 to 01/2026 I cared for Come (4) for 4 hours a week. My responsibilities included: picking up from school, feeding him lunch, doing activities, playing games, doing crafts, driving him to rugby practice. From 09/2025 to 12/2025 I cared for Adele (2) and Jules (5) for 6 hours a week. My responsibilities included: bathing them, feeding them meals, helping with homework, going on outings, and picking them up at school.

I would love to become an au pair because I've loved taking care of children since I was little, which is why I currently work fulltime in childcare at a day camp center. But being an au pair also offers an interesting cultural exchange that I would love to experience. I have patience, kindness, energy and a lot of ideas for having fun with children. I babysat Sara (5) from November 2023 to December 2025 occasionally. I was responsible of preparing snacks, playing games, reading stories, and assisting with activities that supported her cognitive development and learning. I kept her engaged through fun and educational activities, followed her daily routine. I babysat Jeronimo (1) from June 2023 to February 2025. My responsibilities included preparing meals and snacks, changing diapers when needed, helping with potty training, playing educational games, reading books, supervising playtime, assisting with nap time. Finally, from February to March 2026, I volunteered at a child care center taking care of children ages 6 months to 6 years old. I supervised children throughout the day, assisted with meals and refreshments, supported their daily routines, and organized educational and recreational activities.

I want to be an au pair in the United States because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and supporting their learning and development. I also want to improve my English, experience a new culture, and become part of a welcoming host family while growing both personally and professionally. I am responsible, patient, caring, organized, and positive. I completed community service at a daycare center with children ages 1–6, where I helped with educational activities, games, arts and crafts, and daily routines. I also have First Aid, CPR, and Psychological First Aid certifications, as well as a valid driver's license. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and secure. I look forward to becoming a valued member of my host family, sharing my Colombian culture, and learning from theirs.

From May to July 2026, I occasionally took care of Hanna (7). I helped with homework, drove to friends and activities and took care of the child. From February 2025, I occasionally took care of Lena (3). I fed the child, played and put the child to bed. From December 2023 to June 2024, I occasionally/weekly took care of Maxi (11). I am eager to become an Au Pair to immerse myself in American culture, step out of my comfort zone, and build strong connections with a host family. I love working with children and young people, which I regularly do through my volunteer work at a local youth center, organizing activities and supporting kids in their daily routines. Having grown up taking care of my younger siblings, as well as caring for animals and managing various responsibilities, I bring a high level of independence, patience, and reliability. My core strengths are adaptability, empathy, and active problem-solving, making me well-prepared to quickly integrate into a host family and support them in everyday life.

From 10/2024 to 09/2025 I cared for Glenn (3) twice a week. My responsibilities included welcoming and supervising the child at home, preparing meals and snacks, organizing suitable activities (games, reading,outings), as well as assisting with daily routines (hygiene, tidying up). In August 2025 I cared for Paul (8) and Antoine (3) for an evening. My responsibilities included having dinner together, playing a few games, helping them get ready for bed and staying with them until their parents came back.

I would like to take part in an Au Pair program in the United States in order to discover a new culture, improve my English, and live a rewarding experience within an American family. For me, this program represents a unique opportunity for personal, cultural, and linguistic development. I believe I am qualified to participate in the EurAupair program because I am a responsible, caring, dynamic, and highly motivated person. From 03/2025 to 003/2027 I cared for Fiona (6) and Maileen (3) on occasion. I was responsible for preparing meals, occupying them, playing with them, bringing them to bed, and reading. From 07/2024 to 07/2026 I cared for several children ages 3-6 for 2 weeks. I was responsible for playing with them, serving food, helping them dress, occupying them. In July 2026 I cared for several children ages 6-12 for one week. I was responsible for supervising and entertaining the children.

I love traveling and getting to know new cultures. I also love working with children, and therefore, the Aupair program is the ideal way to combine the two. I have gained a great deal of experience with children aged 2 to 12, and I have always been perceived as patient and level-headed. Furthermore (particularly through babysitting) I have gained significant experience in handling children in challenging situations and taking sole responsibility for them.

I want to become an Au Pair because I love spending time with children. I find child care very rewarding, no matter the age. Being a role model for children and supporting them with personal development are things I respect and strive for. I not only want to babysit your children, but I want to become a friend whom they can relate to and trust. Further, I am particularly excited about learning more about your culture, language, and daily life. I believe that living with your family will allow me to grow personally, become more independent, and share my own culture with you as well. I have already visited the United States before, and this experience strongly influenced my decision to apply as an Au Pair there. During my stay, I deeply appreciated the openness, approachability, and everyday friendliness I experienced in social interactions. Rather than being a stereotype for me, this was something I noticed consistently in daily situations, such as conversations with locals and everyday encounters. Additionally, I am genuinely interested in American culture and daily life. I would like to understand the country beyond tourism by experiencing family routines, social norms, and everyday responsibilities firsthand.

From 05/2020 to 02/2026 I cared for Manny (4) on occasion. My responsibilities included supervising her and helping her with homework. From 09/2015 to 8/2026 I cared for Mila (3 months) on occasion.My responsibilities included going on outings, helping with homework, overnight supervision, picking her up from her house, taking her to horse stable in the morning, preparing lunch for her, picking her up from riding lessons, doing arts and crafts, dancing, playing board games, going to the amusement park or watching a movie. I've babysat Lou (8) and Kim (10mths) since April 2020 frequently. My responsibilities include driving them, taking them to the carousel, doing activities, bathing them, going on walks, and feeding them meals.

I want to become an au pair because I really love spending time with children. I have been babysitting since I was 16, and I have experience with children of different ages. I feel very comfortable with children and I really enjoy taking care of them, playing with them and sharing their everyday life. Living with an American family would be a very special experience.
