Child Care Experience
From 01/2026 to 04/2026 I card for children ages 3 months to 12 for 50 hours a week. My duties include helping toddlers with their schoolwork, such as tracing letters and colouring in. I helped feed the toddlers their meals and gave the babies their milk, changed nappies, and prepared simple meals for the children such as noodles and toasties. I also helped the aftercare children with their homework, and I enjoyed playing, singing, and dancing with the children. I often took the children swimming as well. From 02/2022 to 10/2025 I cared for Talan (7) and Mason (9) on occasion. My duties included preparing meals such as toasties and chicken strips, sometimes putting the children to bed, sometimes taking them to and from school, and taking them swimming.

From February to August 2024, I looked after a group children ages 3 to 12 years old. My responsibilities included facilitating kids' groups, ensuring safety, leading games, helping with meals, doing activities with the kids, hygiene tasks, and cleaning up. I was a youth activity leader during school holidays looking after children ages 6 to 12 years old. My responsibilities included serving meals, helping with bedtime, waking up the kids, and doing activities during the day. I worked at a summer camp in July 2024 taking care of children ages 13 to 17 years old. My responsibilities included creating a safe environment for the children while teaching them the culture of Italy, camping in tents, going on cultural visits with the kids, cooking meals outdoors and bedtime. Lastly, I worked at a ski camp in February 2025 taking care of a group of children ages 6 to 14 years old. Being part of a family abroad feels like the best way to really understand the culture. It also gives me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and learn more about the world and about myself. I took care of Sara, an 8-year-old girl, from June 2021 to July 2022. My responsibilities included taking her to and picking her up from school, giving her lunch, preparing and serving snacks, checking her daily school activities, and guiding her with homework. I also engaged her in different activities such as playing games, doing handicrafts, solving puzzles, and enjoying board games together. From November 2023 to February 2024, I cared for Dulce, a 2-year-old girl. I picked her up from kindergarten, gave her lunch, helped with school-related activities, and played with her. We did various creative activities she enjoyed, such as painting and making crafts. I also got her belongings ready for the next day, made her dinner, and helped her prepare for bed. Currently, since September 2024, I have been taking care of Ammy, a 6-month-old baby. My duties include bathing her, feeding her, changing diapers, helping her take naps, and monitoring her while she sleeps.
