From March 2024 to July 2025, I took care of a group of students from 6 to 11 years of age. I taught English and played fun activities with the children. From April 2024 to June 2025, I took care of Ines (6) and Renato (1) for three to four times a week. I prepared meals, drove the children, took the children to the park, planned activities and supervised the children. From December 2021 to March 2023, I took care of Ignacio (9). I want to be an au pair in the USA to discover American culture while helping a family. I love working with children, and this program matches my goals. I want to participate in shared moments with my host family like preparing the Thanksgiving meal. I would like to create memories with the children like preparing to go trick-or treating for Halloween or go watch a football match. From 03/2024 to 04/2025 I cared for children ages 4 to 8 for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. I take care of Nela, Tessa and their Brother Kilian while their mother is at meetings or goes to training. Mostly I come from afternoon to evening. In that time we play together, go outside or do other things. In the evening I make them dinner and we eat. Sometimes it’s that late, that I bring them to bed or make them bed ready. From 07/2016 to 04/2025 I cared for Milian (newborn) once a week. I would play, put to bed, and prepare food. I thought about getting to the USA for a long time, because I always saw videos photos and more about people who live there. I find the USA fascinating and would love to experience the culture and traditions. Furthermore I love spending my time with children, playing with them or doing other things and more with them. This makes me happy, because I see those smiling faces. Then I watched some videos online, where others spokes positively about being an au pair and I researched what it is exactly about. And the thought, to get to know the USA and care about children of a family that I hopefully grow close to, is amazing.

I also love children, and seeing their joy and happiness brings me joy as well. If I could go to a new country, I would have the opportunity to learn about new cultures and meet new people. I have always liked cultural exchanges and experiences abroad because I think they help us grow and learn about different ways of life. Joining the Au Pair program in the United States is a great opportunity for me to discover American culture and share my own. One of the most meaningful experiences in my life was my two-month humanitarian mission in Togo, Africa. I worked in an orphanage where I took care of young children: helping them get dressed, feeding them, playing with them, and giving them comfort. I really enjoy working with children. I like helping them in their daily activities, teaching them new things, and seeing them grow in a safe and structured environment.
