I've babysat Alwyn since he was a newborn in February 2022. My duties include general childcare, feeding, changing diapers, bathing, playtime, reading stories, and following bedtime routines. I also support potty training, encourage learning through play, and help maintain family routines such as mealtimes and naps. I worked at a daycare center from September to December 2025 taking care of children ages 4 months to 4 years old. My duties included bottle feeding and burping, changing diapers, managing sleep and nap routines, and supporting baby stimulation through tummy time and play. I also help with bathing, dressing, and daily care, as well as preparing soft meals. With older children, I assist with potty training, encourage play and learning, and help enforce family routines such as meals, naps, and playtime.

From 09/2025 to 10/2025 I cared for children ages 6 to 10 for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I was responsible for helping with homework, helping students in class, entertaining children, spending time with them and helping supervising at free time activities. From 07/2025 to 08/2025 I cared for children ages 3-6 for 7 hours a day, 4 days a week. I was responsible for assisting with supervising the children during free play & guided activities, helping with meals, supporting hygiene routines, participating in creative & educational activities.

I want to become an au pair in the USA because it brings together many things that are important to me. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. During my volunteer year, I work with children every day and it never gets boring or repetitive. I am patient, loving and caring- even in difficult or stressful situations. Communication is really important to me and I am able to reflect myself and my behavior. With that, I am also pretty family-oriented. Traveling to a new country and completely being on my own doesn’t feel right for me. That’s why my host family is very important to me.
