Child Care Experience
I took care of Oliver (7) and Livian (1) from January 2020 to December 2025 and from March 2024 to December 2025. I looked after Oliver once a month for several hours at a time or sometimes for several days, and I cared for his younger sister Livian monthly for a couple of hours at a time. My responsibilities included playing with them, feeding them, going outside, changing diapers, dressing them, and providing overall care. I also took care of Isla (10) and Aava (7) from June 2021 to August 2021, where my duties included playing with them, making lunch, and overall childcare. Additionally, I have been caring for Roni (15) daily from August 2017 to December 2025, which included taking him to and from school by bike, preparing snacks and meals, driving him to practice, and staying overnight with him at home when needed.

The idea of becoming an Au Pair comes from the fact that my mother was an au pair in the USA when she was my age. She is still in contact with her host family, which I find admirable. I have always been interested in living in the USA and learning about the culture, so spending a year there as an au pair feels natural and exciting to me. The main reason I would like to become an au pair is that I want to improve my English skills, and I genuinely love taking care of children. I consider myself a responsible person and feel very comfortable working with kids. I am outgoing and approachable, which helps me get along well with both children and adults. I am hardworking and willing to take on tasks, whether they involve childcare or household duties. I am very tidy and organized, which makes everyday chores easy and natural for me.

From 07/2024 to 11/2024 I cared for Sara (5) for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. I helped her with her homework and accompanied her to her swimming and skating classes. We shared unforgettable moments playing, dancing, cooking, and doing her hair, enjoying every activity together. From 04/2024 to 05/2024 I cared for Julieta (6 months) 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. I was responsible for bathing and dressing her, changing her diapers, preparing her bottle and meals. Additionally, I spent time playing with her and doing early stimulation activities to help her start crawling. From 02/2025 to 03/2025 I cared for children ages 1-6 for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I assisted in coordinating classes and activities such as games, robotics, experiments, crafts, motor skills, and pre-writing exercises.

In July 2025, I cared for a group of kindergarten children aged 2 to 10 for one month, providing entertainment, preparing meals, assisting with dressing, housekeeping, putting them to bed, and supervising them while they slept. From May to June 2023, I assisted primary school children aged 6 to 10 by preparing food, helping them get dressed, supporting PE lessons and other subjects like math and science, crafting, and supervising them during a tournament. Additionally, I coached soccer for boys and girls aged 11 to 13 from July 2024 to September 2025, attending most weeks at least twice for 90-minute sessions, sometimes supervising on matchdays for around an hour, communicating with parents and children, motivating the players, and teaching them soccer skills.

It has always been my dream to become an Au Pair in the USA because I love both children and American culture. I want to improve my English, discover new places, and learn more about life in another country. I’ve always wished for younger siblings, and being an au pair would give me the chance to experience that and be like an older sister. I want to be part of the au pair exchange program because I have always wanted to discover new cultures and new countries.
