From February 2022 to January 2026, I took care of Juan (5) from Monday to Thursday for three hours per day. I played, prepared meals, assisted with basic school activities, helped with homework, took the child to the park, did creative projects and supervised the child's safety and daily care. From January 2022 to November 2025, I took care of Dulce (12), Mara (6) and Thiago (9 months) on the weekends. I changed diapers, dressed the baby, prepared meals, took the children to the park, did early stimulating activities and supervised the children. From March to August 2025, I took care of Eliam (8 months). I changed diapers, got the baby dressed, prepared meals, supervised sleep routines, engaged in play and early stimulation activities, ensured the safety of the child and provided general daily care.

From January 2024 to March 2026 (ongoing), I have taken care of Louise (10) in the evening and during school break. I organize activities and prepare meals. From September 2023 to April 2026, I took care of Joanne (10) in the evenings and on the weekends. I did activities with the child at the home, took the child to sports practice and helped with homework. From February 2024 to March 2026, I took care of Lili (10) often. I did activities, prepared meals and helped with housekeeping. During the month of June 2024, I did a two-week day camp internship with a group of children from 3 to 11 years of age. I created activities for the children, supervised the children in the yard and in the center and did light cleaning.

I would love to become an au pair in the USA because I have always dreamed of living abroad and discovering a new culture. I took care of Genesis, 4 years old, from January 2017 to December 2024. My responsibilities included babysitting, playing with him, preparing meals, supervising daily activities, ensuring his safety, and helping with homework and studying for exams. I want to be an Au Pair because I love spending time with children and learning from different cultures. For me, it is the perfect way to improve my English while doing something meaningful, becoming part of a family, helping with their children, and growing personally. As the oldest sister in a large family, I grew up caring for my younger siblings and have always been trusted with responsibility. I also spend many weekends with my little cousins, going to the park, swimming, or simply playing together. From February 2022 to April 2023, I took care of Juan (7) for eleven hours every Saturday. I accompanied the child to soccer lessons, prepared lunch, helped with homework, played and accompanied the child to the pool. From November 2021 to January 2022, I took care of Salmoe (4). I prepared snacks, played and practiced numbers, vowels and the alphabet with the child.

I managed the child’s daily diet, patiently feeding him and ensuring proper nutritional intake. I arranged a reasonable schedule, coaxed and accompanied him to sleep on time, and ensured sufficient rest. Additionally, I assisted with personal hygiene care, including washing and changing laundry. I cared for Xueyi Ma, 6 years old, from 01/2019 to 08/2021, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 5 hours per day. I was responsible for the child’s daily routines, including washing, dressing, dining, and napping. I accompanied educational activities, such as picture book reading, manual creation, and outdoor exploration, to help the child learn and cultivate interests. I guided the child in developing good habits, including following a regular schedule, organizing independently, and practicing sharing and cooperation. I prioritized safety, monitoring both indoor and outdoor activities and identifying environmental hazards to keep the child safe. I also communicated daily with parents regarding the child’s diet, emotions, and learning progress, and coordinated parenting arrangements. I tutored Qiang Wu, 13 years old, from 09/2024 to 02/2025, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 8 hours per day. I assisted with homework across various junior high school subjects, answered questions, and expanded knowledge. I helped cultivate healthy study habits and guided him to follow a regular schedule. I also accompanied the development of interest activities, such as basketball, and guided reading and communication to enhance comprehension and reading skills. Additionally, I assisted in planning learning tasks and organizing daily necessities.

For me, this is not only an overseas experience but also a cornerstone of my career as an educator. I hope this experience will help me clarify my original intention: education is never a one-way output but a process of mutual growth. Firstly, I majored in Education during my undergraduate studies, giving me a solid professional knowledge base and theoretical background. I want to become an au pair because it is a wonderful opportunity to travel, discover a new culture, and connect with people in a truly unique way. Being part of a family abroad feels like the best way to really understand the culture. It also gives me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and learn more about the world and about myself.
