Find a Spanish-Speaking Au Pair for Your Family
The best time to learn a language is when you’re young. Children have a natural adaptability — they can pick up on and mimic accents much better than adults and they’re open to learning without fear. They attempt the right words and if they don’t get them, they try again next time.
If you want your child to learn a foreign language, often the best way to do it is through interaction. Children learn best when they experience something, and being immersed in a new language could be the smartest way to teach your little one something new.
Spanish is an excellent choice. Millions of people in the United States speak this vibrant Latin language. As our country becomes more culturally diverse, knowing Spanish can be a valuable life skill.
Help your children learn to speak the language by finding a Spanish-speaking au pair. While this is an English-speaking program (so English must be the main spoken language at home), you may ask your au pair to speak her native language when caring for the children, and for families with school-age children an au pair can also help with homework for their language class. When you bring an au pair into your home, you get someone who will interact with your kids on a daily basis. A Spanish-speaking live-in nanny will help your children learn naturally. Instead of forcing them into a classroom setting to do their language studies, you can simply send them off to the library, museum or even a park.
When your Spanish-speaking au pair talks to your kids, they will gradually pick up the language.

First of all, becoming an au pair exchange program participant in the USA is the opportunity to keep on working with children since that is what I like the most. Also, because I want to improve my English oral skills, visit new places, learn about a new culture and share my own with my host family. Secondly, I consider I am responsible, independent, attentive, honest, empathic, hardworking and lovely. All those personaly traits are bland skills I can use for taking care of the children and making of this experience the best one ever. Furthermore, all my knowledge and the experience working with children as a nurse assistant is the most valuable strength I have for assiting the children in any urgency or emergency. Also, I know how to give First Aid Assistance in any unexpected situation.

I want to be an au pair because, to me, it means becoming part of a child’s memories, and that includes influencing who they will become in the future and how they will treat others. It makes me feel like I’m contributing, in a quiet but meaningful way, to a better future for society. I love learning from little ones and teaching them what I know, and while we enjoy our time together, we can make a difference in the kind of future they’ll have. It’s also a great opportunity to improve my own skills, since my life project has always been to enjoy the process and strive to grow as much as I can.
