I want to participate in the Au Pair program because I would like to live the experience of getting to know another culture and a country different from mine, learning their language and being able to improve my English with native people doing what I like, which is taking care of children. I consider myself qualified for the program because I have experience caring for children from 3 months to 12 years of age, I work as a substitute teacher's assistant in a school with children from 3 to 16 years of age as a writing and reading reinforcement teacher and also taking care of the children at the end of the student session. Therefore I understand that my strengths are patience, understanding and collaboration with the growth of infants.

From March 2023 to April 2025, I took care of Sarita (6) and Sofia (8), for four hours, three days per week. I picked up the girls from the bus, assisted with homework, prepared meals, helped with the bedtime routines and engaged in playtime activities. From March to May 2025, I took care of Mariangel (2 months), three days per week for 6 to 7 hours. I changed diapers, helped put the child to sleep, assisted the mother with bath time and played with the baby. From February 2023 to March 2025, I volunteered at a Kindergarten with children from 1 to 8 years of age. I assisted with homework and class activities, served and fed the children lunch and snacks, and led artistic and recreational activities.

The program in the U.S. truly appeals to me because it offers a unique chance for cultural immersion and the opportunity to build a meaningful bond with an American family. Being part of a child’s growth while experiencing a new culture firsthand is something I find incredibly motivating. My previous childcare experience has strengthened my patience, communication I believe are essential for the program.I’m an adaptable and proactive person, always eager to learn and integrate into new environments. My English level allows me to communicate well, and I’m fully committed to improving it even more during my stay. What sets me apart are my strong sense of responsibility, my natural connection with children, and my genuine enthusiasm for new experiences. I'm confident these qualities will help me support a host family, and truly make the most of this enriching cultural and personal journey.

From February 2020 to April 2025, I took care of Santiago (3 months) for four hours, five days a week. I prepared lunch, helped with homework, practiced reading, and put the child down for naps. From January 2024 to January 2025, I took care of Isaac (1) and Sebastian (8) for five hours, three days a week. I prepared food, changed diapers, changed clothes and played with the children. From January to November 2024, I took care of Steanny (4) and Rubennys (5) for one hour, three days a week. I did activities with the children such as painting, coloring and made handles.

I qualified for to be Au pair because, I am a responsible, creative, social, person. I really like spending time with children, I consider that the children help me see life with bright eyes every day, and they teach me to enjoy the little things of life. With them, I feel like another child because I enjoy playing with them, in addition I enjoy teaching them new things, I will teach you and your kids about my Colombian culture. I'd also love to learn from your children because I think that children are very intelligent, and they learn very quickly. I want to become an Au Pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children—sharing activities, helping with their routines, and being part of their growth. I love being present, listening, playing, and creating a warm and trusting environment. I have a big family and spend a lot of time with my two younger brothers, with whom I have a very special bond. Thanks to that, I’ve learned to be patient, responsible, and deeply committed. I took care of a 9-year-old group at a summer camp in July 2024 for 2 weeks as an animator. I also worked with a 5-year-old group at a summer camp in July 2023 for 2 weeks as an animator. From September 2017 to June 2018, I was an animator for a 3-year-old group at a baby gym. Between November 2022 and June 2023, I volunteered as an animator at a kids’ club at church, working with 4-year-olds. From September 2018 to June 2019, I worked in the church nursery with infants aged 0 to 1 year. Since January 2024 until July 2024, I’ve been spending time once a week with Timothée and Noah (7 and 10 years old), playing with them, watching films, and having snacks together.

I want to become an AuPair because it’s a unique way to experience U.S. culture from the inside. Living with a host family and sharing their daily life is, in my opinion, the best way to truly discover a country. I love spending time with children they are spontaneous, full of energy, and help us see life in a simple, joyful way. I enjoy creating a fun and caring environment where they feel free to express themselves. I believe I’m well-qualified because I’m cheerful, curious, and always bring positive energy.
