I babysat Thomas (4) since he was born in January 2022. I took care of him, changed diapers, prepared bottles, fed and bathed him, and played with him. I worked for a volunteer association from May 2018 to May 2020 taking care of a group of children ages 3 to 10 years old. I helped with homework, organized games and activities and prepared snacks. I worked with a group of children ages 2 to 14 years old from October 2023 to November 2025. I planned daily activities and took care of them.

I was responsible for helping with homework, helping students in class, entertaining children, spending time with them and helping supervising at free time activities. From 07/2025 to 08/2025 I cared for children ages 3-6 for 7 hours a day, 4 days a week. I want to be an Au Pair because I like to spend time with children and to gain more experience with childcare. I want to participate in shared moments with my host family like preparing the Thanksgiving meal. I would like to create memories with the children like preparing to go trick-or treating for Halloween or go watch a football match. I would like to be an integral part of the family and create a long lasting relationship with my host family which could continue even after my return to France :) I have lots of experience with kids, especially as a gymnastics coach.

I took care of several children, and my responsibilities included the following. For Nicolas, who is six years old, from December 2024 to April 2025, Monday to Friday for six hours per day, I was responsible for his daily routine, including school pickup, snacks, and organization. I provided significant support with homework in subjects such as math and reading/English, and I carried out creative and educational activities such as crafts, cooking, and games. For Gabriel, who is ten years old, from December 2024 to May 2025 on weekends for eight hours, I looked after him, taking him to and from his music and martial arts classes. I prepared his meals, organized his belongings, and assisted with his bedtime routine. We also enjoyed activities together, including going to the park, swimming, watching movies, and doing crafts. At Sarahy Kindergarten, from May 2025 to August 2025, Monday to Friday for four hours per day, I assisted the teachers with children aged one to five. I helped with daily routines such as meals, nap time, hygiene, and diaper changes, and I supported classroom activities including games, crafts, singing, and motor skills exercises, always ensuring the children’s well-being and safety.

I want to join an Au Pair program in the United States because I love working with children and I also want to learn about a new culture. This experience will help me grow, learn from a family with different traditions, and share my Colombian culture. From July to August 2025, I did an internship in a hospital with newborn babies for eight hours per day. I changed diapers on newborn babies, prepared formula, measured the baby's temperature and supervised the newborn babies. In January 2022, I did an Internship in a Kindergarten with children from 3 to 8 years of age daily for three weeks. Lastly, I worked at a ski camp in February 2025 taking care of a group of children ages 6 to 14 years old. My responsibilities included helping the kids with skiing activities, leading various activities, supervising meal time/shower time, and transporting.

I want to become an au pair because it is a wonderful opportunity to travel, discover a new culture, and connect with people in a truly unique way. Being part of a family abroad feels like the best way to really understand the culture. It also gives me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and learn more about the world and about myself. I especially enjoy spending time with children. First of all, becoming an au pair exchange program participant in the USA is the opportunity to keep on working with children since that is what I like the most. Also, because I want to improve my English oral skills, visit new places, learn about a new culture and share my own with my host family. Secondly, I consider I am responsible, independent, attentive, honest, empathic, hardworking and lovely. All those personaly traits are bland skills I can use for taking care of the children and making of this experience the best one ever. Furthermore, all my knowledge and the experience working with children as a nurse assistant is the most valuable strength I have for assiting the children in any urgency or emergency. Also, I know how to give First Aid Assistance in any unexpected situation.

I did fun activities with them such as cycling, painting and cooking, I helped them get ready for school and helped with homework. I worked on a school bus route from February 2018 to February 2020 accompanying children ages 1 to 15 years old. My responsibility was to ensure their safety and well-being and do some entertaining activities with them. Lastly, I cared for a group of children ages 1 to 5 years old from January 2016 to January 2018. My responsibilities included reading, listening to children's songs, teaching letters and numbers, playing educational games and putting them down for naps. I've babysat Ithan (1) since January 2025 on weekends. I feed, bath, and dress him, play with him and do fun exercises with him.

First of all, I love spending time with children; they are the most loving and fun beings, and they help me grow so much as a person through everything they do. Growing up in Colombia has given me a deep appreciation for my culture and language, which I want to share with my future host family. My previous experience as a nanny has equipped me with the skills to teach children to read, write, and engage in creative activities like arts and crafts. I am patient, adaptable, and dedicated to creating an enriching environment that supports children's growth and development.
