Child Care Experience
I took care of Guadalupe (2) and Vicente (7) from February 2022 to September 2022, where I woke them up, prepared meals, took them to school, played with them, and took them to doctor’s appointments. I also took care of Enzo Gonzalez (10) from December 2019 to March 2020, supervising him, preparing breakfast and simple meals, and organizing playtime and activities. In addition, I cared for Iara (5 months), Emily (4), and Renata (7) from January 2021 to December 2021, changing diapers, feeding and dressing the baby, assisting with homework, keeping their rooms and clothes organized and clean, and playing with them.

The main reason I want to become an au pair in the USA is my passion for children. I love working with kids and being part of their growth, inspiring them, helping them learn, and being a good example for them. There’s something so beautiful about a child who looks up to you, and I want to be someone they feel safe with. I took care of Mariana Buitrago Narváez, 3 years old, from February 2024 to December 2024. I was responsible for her daily care, including hygiene, meals, routines, activities, and overall well-being. I also cared for Martin Olmos Romero, 9 years old, from June 2024 to July 2024. My responsibilities included outdoor and recreational activities, supporting his learning during vacations, preparing light meals, assisting with his evening routine, and encouraging organization and responsibility in a positive way. From August 2025 to November 2025, I took care of Salma Isabela Naranjo Barrera, 12 years old. I was responsible for picking her up from her school route, helping with her afternoon routine, accompanying her to extracurricular activities, supporting her with homework, preparing dinner, and helping her get ready for bed. I also cared for María José Roa Fajardo from January 2026 to February 2026. My responsibilities included feeding, diaper changes, bathing and dressing, supporting naps, taking her on outdoor walks, and engaging in activities to support her development.

I want to participate in an au pair program in the United States because I feel a very special connection with children. I truly enjoy spending time with them and watching them grow and learn. I took care of Yuxuan Li, a 12-month-old child, from February 2025 to May 2025. I was responsible for daily life care such as feeding, washing, and sleeping, while helping establish a regular routine. I ensured the child’s safety at all times by closely monitoring movements and preventing potential dangers such as bumps and accidental ingestion. I guided the development of basic habits, including independent eating and washing hands before meals. I also provided interactive companionship through games and picture-book reading to support emotional needs and early cognitive development, and I carefully observed the child’s mental state and diet to promptly identify any physical discomfort. I cared for Xiaoxiao Wu, a 4-year-old child, from August 2023 to December 2023. I guided the child in developing independent daily habits such as dressing, washing, and organizing toys, while reinforcing routines and proper table manners. I ensured safety and health management during outdoor activities and hands-on tasks, monitored diet and emotional well-being, and handled minor bumps appropriately. I supported cognitive development by improving language expression, logical thinking, and hands-on skills through picture books, puzzles, and creative activities. I also encouraged positive social interaction by teaching sharing, cooperation, and polite communication, helped resolve minor conflicts during play, and provided patient companionship to support emotional expression and regulation. From June 2025 to the present, I have been teaching Chinese calligraphy to a group of eight children aged 4 to 9. I teach correct pen holding, sitting posture, basic strokes, radicals, and simple character structures in a fun and age-appropriate way. I manage classroom order through engaging games and reward systems to maintain focus and ensure smooth lessons. I correct classwork and homework individually, provide detailed feedback, and communicate each child’s progress with parents. I design interactive lessons using stories, mnemonics, and stroke games to increase interest in learning, and I track each student’s writing foundation and progress over time.
