Child Care Experience
I took care of Sara, an 8-year-old girl, from June 2021 to July 2022. My responsibilities included taking her to and picking her up from school, giving her lunch, preparing and serving snacks, checking her daily school activities, and guiding her with homework. I also engaged her in different activities such as playing games, doing handicrafts, solving puzzles, and enjoying board games together. From November 2023 to February 2024, I cared for Dulce, a 2-year-old girl. I picked her up from kindergarten, gave her lunch, helped with school-related activities, and played with her. We did various creative activities she enjoyed, such as painting and making crafts. I also got her belongings ready for the next day, made her dinner, and helped her prepare for bed. Currently, since September 2024, I have been taking care of Ammy, a 6-month-old baby. My duties include bathing her, feeding her, changing diapers, helping her take naps, and monitoring her while she sleeps.

From 01/2026 to 03/2026 I cared for Matys (3) in the evenings. My responsibilities included: helping with bath time, feeding him dinner, doing manual and physical activities, and putting the child to bed. From 02/2022 to 10/2025 I cared for children ages 3-10 on Wednesdays and during school breaks. My responsibilities included: managing a group of kids at day center, helping with meal times, doing crafts, planning activities, assisting with pool time and helping with bathroom time.

I would like to join this program because working with children is a true passion of mine and I want to combine it with my wish to discover a new culture. I hold a vocational diploma in Services to People and Territories (SAPAT), completed internships in daycare centers and kindergartens, and earned my BAFA childcare diploma in 2022, which allowed me to work in day camp centers during holidays and Wednesdays. I also babysat children in my family, including under the age of three, and worked in a bilingual school in Romania. These experiences taught me to be responsible, patient, and creative. My responsibilities included picking the child up from the nanny’s house, doing activities together, giving snacks, and bathing the child for a total of 51 hours. I took care of Johan (11 years old), Taiss (8 years old), Maleek (5 years old), and Adria (2 years old) from September 2024 to November 2025. My responsibilities included picking them up from school, helping with meals, and assisting with homework for a total of 200 hours. I took care of Tilia (3 to 9 years old) from July 2020 to August 2025 occasionally. My responsibilities included helping with meals, picking the child up from school, and doing activities.

I've babysat twins Livia and Loris (1) since February 2024 twice a week. I prepare meals, change diapers, put them down for naps, and play with them. I worked at a leisure center from February to May 2024 taking care of children ages 4 to 8 years old. I played with them, prepared meals, and created activities for them. I would like to join the au pair program in the United States to discover a new culture and have an enriching experience abroad and improving my English. I would like to work in the U.S. later in international business, and living with a host family would allow me to practice English every day. I have gained solid experience in childcare through regular babysitting.
