Child Care Experience
From April 2024, I have taken care of Lola (11) and Joaquin (15). I help with schoolwork, prepare breakfast and snacks and help with cleaning their room. From January to June 2023, I took care of Jonas (12). I picked up from school, prepared snacks, took the child to soccer practice, made sure the child took baths and checked the child's homework. From October 2020 to August 2021, I took care of Alvaro (1) twice a week. I changed diapers, did feeding, gave baths and entertained the child.

I babysat Roman (5) and Eimy (9mths) from January 2023 to February 2026. My responsibilities included changing diapers, preparing meals, and taking care of them. I looked after Marcus (4) from February to August 2024. I entertained him, played with him and prepared meals. Finally, I looked after Mishel (7) from February 2025 to February 2026 occasionally. I played with him, helped change clothes, help with bath routine and prepared meals.

I want to participate in an au pair exchange program in the United States because I love taking care of children and being part of their daily lives and development. I took care of Theo Hetzel, 4 years old, and Ida Hetzel, 3 years old, from 02.03.2024 until today. My responsibilities were playing with them, reading books, feeding them, cooking for them, organizing outside activities, doing crafts with them, and getting them ready for sleep. I also provided math tutoring to a 14-year-old student once a week from September 2024 to July 2025, where I helped with math exercises and homework. In July 2023, I completed a three-day internship with children aged 3–6, where I played with them, read books, and did crafting activities together.

I want to become an AuPair in the USA because I love working with children and am interested in American culture. Living with a host family would allow me to experience daily life in the USA, improve my English, and take part in a cultural exchange. I see the au pair year as a valuable step between finishing my Abitur and starting university. My responsibilities included picking them up from school, helping with meals, and assisting with homework for a total of 200 hours. I took care of Tilia (3 to 9 years old) from July 2020 to August 2025 occasionally. My responsibilities included helping with meals, picking the child up from school, and doing activities.

I wish to participate in the program because it represents a unique opportunity for me to discover a new culture, practice my English, and have an enriching experience living with an American family. The idea of sharing a family’s daily life, learning new customs, and immersing myself in a different way of living is extremely motivating. I want to participate in shared moments with my host family like preparing the Thanksgiving meal. I would like to create memories with the children like preparing to go trick-or treating for Halloween or go watch a football match. I want to become an Au Pair in the USA to learn more about its culture and language by living with a kind family. I love spending time with children and believe this experience will help me grow personally and professionally. I have cared for kids since I was 13, starting with my siblings and later helping family friends. I've always dreamed of traveling to the USA, exploring new places, and having new experiences. When I found out through a friend that I could travel to the USA while working with children, I immediately started researching it. This experience would also be a wonderful opportunity for me to improve my English. I want to challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone and experiencing a completely new environment. I believe I would be a great au pair because I am very independent and reliable. I help around the house, have no problems with daily chores, and am used to keeping things organized. At the same time, I am an active person who enjoys sports, so I can bring a lot of positive energy to childcare. I am ready to provide loving care for the children, help them with their homework, play with them, or even teach them a few songs, because I believe in playful learning.
