From 09/2021 to 05/2023 I cared for Paolina (8) every week. My responsibilities included: picking up the child from school, helping with homework, doing sports, and looking after her until the parents return from work. From 01/2022 to 05/2022 I cared for Alicia (6) for 2 evenings a week. My responsibilities included: picking up the child from school, bath time, helping them with schoolwork, cooking for them and reading to her. From 03/2021 to 03/2022 I cared for Gabrielle (5) once a week. My responsibilities included: baking together, taking care of her every weekend, putting her to bed at night, cooking for her, keeping her busy during the day, and taking care of the house. From 2021 to 2026 I cared for Mathius (1) on occasion. My responsibilities included: bathing him, doing activities, preparing meals, and changing diapers.

Child Care Experience
From January 2022, I have helped out at Sunday school with children from 5 to 8 years of age. I teach the children, care for the children, read Bible stories, do activities, supervise and make sure the children are safe. From June 2022 to June 2025, I took care of Elijah (3). I prepared meals, changed diapers, entertained, put the child down for naps, made sure the child was comfortable and safe and cared for the child. From January 2021 to December 2024, I took care of Collen (4) and Ismil (1) for twenty hours per week. I prepared food, gave baths, played, put the children down for naps, read books and watched educational programs. From June to July 2023, I helped out at the Pathways Center with children from 5 to 13 years of age. I planned activities, supervised programmes, assisted the minors with completing tasks, kept the children active and helped structure activities.

First of all, becoming an au pair exchange program participant in the USA is the opportunity to keep on working with children since that is what I like the most. Also, because I want to improve my English oral skills, visit new places, learn about a new culture and share my own with my host family. Secondly, I consider I am responsible, independent, attentive, honest, empathic, hardworking and lovely. All those personaly traits are bland skills I can use for taking care of the children and making of this experience the best one ever. Furthermore, all my knowledge and the experience working with children as a nurse assistant is the most valuable strength I have for assiting the children in any urgency or emergency. Also, I know how to give First Aid Assistance in any unexpected situation.

I took care of Yuxuan Li, a 12-month-old child, from February 2025 to May 2025. I was responsible for daily life care such as feeding, washing, and sleeping, while helping establish a regular routine. I ensured the child’s safety at all times by closely monitoring movements and preventing potential dangers such as bumps and accidental ingestion. I guided the development of basic habits, including independent eating and washing hands before meals. I also provided interactive companionship through games and picture-book reading to support emotional needs and early cognitive development, and I carefully observed the child’s mental state and diet to promptly identify any physical discomfort. I cared for Xiaoxiao Wu, a 4-year-old child, from August 2023 to December 2023. I guided the child in developing independent daily habits such as dressing, washing, and organizing toys, while reinforcing routines and proper table manners. I ensured safety and health management during outdoor activities and hands-on tasks, monitored diet and emotional well-being, and handled minor bumps appropriately. I supported cognitive development by improving language expression, logical thinking, and hands-on skills through picture books, puzzles, and creative activities. I also encouraged positive social interaction by teaching sharing, cooperation, and polite communication, helped resolve minor conflicts during play, and provided patient companionship to support emotional expression and regulation. From June 2025 to the present, I have been teaching Chinese calligraphy to a group of eight children aged 4 to 9. I teach correct pen holding, sitting posture, basic strokes, radicals, and simple character structures in a fun and age-appropriate way. I manage classroom order through engaging games and reward systems to maintain focus and ensure smooth lessons. I correct classwork and homework individually, provide detailed feedback, and communicate each child’s progress with parents. I design interactive lessons using stories, mnemonics, and stroke games to increase interest in learning, and I track each student’s writing foundation and progress over time.

I am eager to become an AuPair, as this opportunity will allow me to deeply experience American culture and improve my cross-cultural communication skills.
