Child Care Experience
I babysat Greta (5) from July to August 2025. I organized activities for her, took her to the park to play, prepared meals and did some light household chores. From December 2025 to January 2026, I looked after a group of 4 to 10 years old children at a recreational center. My responsibilities included supervising and caring for the children, organizing and managing activities that were appropriate for their age levels, ensuring the safety of the children, and supporting their daily needs.

Also, I have always been fascinated by the American culture and I am interested in experiencing it firsthand. I babysat Olivia (1) from November 2025 to July 2026. I prepared meals, kept her safe, helped with personal hygiene and organized activities. I babysat Thiago (1) from March to October 2023. I prepared bottles, changed diapers, and put him down for naps. Finally, I looked after Julia (12) from April 2023 to May 2025. I took her to and from school, helped with homework and did activities with her.

I took care of Shikai Ma, 1 year old, from 10/2021 to 07/2024, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 4 hours per day. I managed the child’s daily diet, patiently feeding him and ensuring proper nutritional intake. I accompanied him in various activities, including playing with building blocks, reading picture books, and engaging in parent-child games to enrich his daily entertainment. I arranged a reasonable schedule, coaxed and accompanied him to sleep on time, and ensured sufficient rest. I also took him for outdoor activities, exposing him to nature and teaching simple knowledge about the environment. Additionally, I assisted with personal hygiene care, including washing and changing laundry. I cared for Xueyi Ma, 6 years old, from 01/2019 to 08/2021, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 5 hours per day. I was responsible for the child’s daily routines, including washing, dressing, dining, and napping. I accompanied educational activities, such as picture book reading, manual creation, and outdoor exploration, to help the child learn and cultivate interests. I guided the child in developing good habits, including following a regular schedule, organizing independently, and practicing sharing and cooperation. I prioritized safety, monitoring both indoor and outdoor activities and identifying environmental hazards to keep the child safe. I also communicated daily with parents regarding the child’s diet, emotions, and learning progress, and coordinated parenting arrangements. I tutored Qiang Wu, 13 years old, from 09/2024 to 02/2025, twice a week, normally on weekends, for 8 hours per day. I assisted with homework across various junior high school subjects, answered questions, and expanded knowledge. I helped cultivate healthy study habits and guided him to follow a regular schedule. I also accompanied the development of interest activities, such as basketball, and guided reading and communication to enhance comprehension and reading skills. Additionally, I assisted in planning learning tasks and organizing daily necessities.

For me, this is not only an overseas experience but also a cornerstone of my career as an educator. I hope this experience will help me clarify my original intention: education is never a one-way output but a process of mutual growth. Firstly, I majored in Education during my undergraduate studies, giving me a solid professional knowledge base and theoretical background. Secondly, I have an outgoing and cheerful personality; I am gentle, kind, and empathetic, which makes it easy for me to establish emotional connections with children. I took care of Mia, 9 years old, from September 2021 to May 2022, spending some afternoons with her each month. I picked her up from school, took her home or to the park, helped her with homework, prepared dinner, helped with her evening routine, and put her to bed. We also enjoyed playing board and card games, doing crafts, making bracelets, dancing, and having girls’ nights with face masks, popcorn, and movies. I took care of Lucia, 9 years old, and Candela, 5 years old, from September 2025 to June 2026. I picked them up from school, took them to the park, helped with homework, played with them at home, prepared dinner, helped them get ready for bed, and read them stories before they went to sleep. I took care of Gala, 7 years old, and Liam, 18 months old, from January 2026 to June 20. I picked them up from school and daycare, prepared snacks, changed Liam’s diapers, played with them, read stories, sang songs, helped with bath time, prepared dinner, and got them ready for bed. I took care of Ivet and Gisela, both 6 years old, during July and August 2024, three to four times a week. I looked after them during the summer, taking them to the beach, swimming pool, and park, and we enjoyed playing games, riding bikes, doing crafts, making bracelets, singing, dancing, and playing in the garden. I also prepared their meals when needed and stayed with them during mealtimes.

I want to become an AuPair because I have always loved spending time with children, and I think it is the perfect opportunity to combine this with many of the things I love. I have always loved travelling and discovering new countries and cultures, and I would like to experience everyday life in the U.S. I also want to improve my English before starting my Global Studies degree, which is taught entirely in English. My responsibilities included helping her with her homework and studying with her before exams. I also picked her up from extracurricular activities when needed, spent time talking and playing games with her, and kept her company after school.

I cared for Jared (16) from October 2026 to the present. I picked him up from school after exams and helped him study. On days when he did not have an exam, I helped him review his schoolwork and prepare for upcoming exams.

I want to be your Au Pair because I absolutely love working with children, and being able to do that while experiencing a new country would be a dream come true! After finishing school, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do until I started au pairing for a family in South Africa. I then worked at a preschool, and I absolutely loved it! Getting to know the children's different personalities, playing with them and watching them learn made me realise how much I enjoy childcare. I am a positive, caring, responsible and outgoing person who loves staying active and trying new things. I would love to experience American culture, learn about your family traditions and share my South African culture with you. My duties included preparing her lunch and dinner, helping her with homework and school projects, and making sure her hair was always neat and tidy. I also helped her with bathing when her mother was unavailable and made sure she was well cared for. In May 2025 I cared for Jayra (1) for 30 hours a week, 5 days a week. My duties included feeding the baby, burping her properly to relieve any gas before putting her to sleep, and bathing her. I also made sure she had enough tummy time every day and played sensory games with her to support her growth and development. From 01/2025 to 03/2025 I cared for children ages 4 - 10 months. My duties included changing the babies’ diapers, feeding them, and preparing their bottles according to their parents’ preferences. I made sure they were well fed, kept them entertained with age-appropriate activities, and ensured they had enough tummy time each day. I also put them down for their naps and supervised them closely to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
