From 09/2022 to 05/2025 I cared for children ages 9-15 about 7 hours a month. My responsibilities included group activities, learning about religion, and going on short trip. From 01/2025to 09/2025 I cared for children ages 8-12 on occasion. I was responsible for playing with them, taking them to the playground, crafting, painting, reading, bringing them to bed, and cooking with them. From 08/2022 to 12/2025 I cared for children ages 10-14 on occasion. I would prepare food, take them to a Museum, play together, and learn about god.

It is important for me to support children as they learn, grow, and feel safe. I understand that caring for children is a big responsibility, and I take it seriously. First of all, becoming an au pair exchange program participant in the USA is the opportunity to keep on working with children since that is what I like the most. Also, because I want to improve my English oral skills, visit new places, learn about a new culture and share my own with my host family. Secondly, I consider I am responsible, independent, attentive, honest, empathic, hardworking and lovely. All those personaly traits are bland skills I can use for taking care of the children and making of this experience the best one ever. Furthermore, all my knowledge and the experience working with children as a nurse assistant is the most valuable strength I have for assiting the children in any urgency or emergency. Also, I know how to give First Aid Assistance in any unexpected situation.

From September 2024 to January 2025, I took care of Jandry (1 month) for five hours, five days per week. I prepared food, washed the baby's clothes, and took care of the baby's needs. From November 2022 to August 2024, I took care of Dara (3 months) for five hours, every three days. I fed the baby, kept the baby clean and taught the baby new things. From December 2023 to February 2024, I took care of Alahia (3) for five hours, two days per week. I supervised the child, prepared meals and snacks and assisted with personal hygiene.

I cared for Yahir (3 months) from October 2023 to May 2024. I was helping with feeding, changing diapers, and putting the baby to sleep. I also played and interacted with the baby to support early development. From October 2023 to May 2024, I cared for a group of children aged between 3 months and1 years old. My responsibilities included: to prepare milk the bottles, to bath them, to administer medication (if necessary), to change diapers and clothes, to put them to sleep.. I cared also for Allison (3) from June 2015 to August 2016. I was helping with feeding, dressing, and bathing her, managed daily routines and ensured she followed a consistent schedule, and I played with her.

I took care of Oliver (7) and Livian (1) from January 2020 to December 2025 and from March 2024 to December 2025. I looked after Oliver once a month for several hours at a time or sometimes for several days, and I cared for his younger sister Livian monthly for a couple of hours at a time. My responsibilities included playing with them, feeding them, going outside, changing diapers, dressing them, and providing overall care. I also took care of Isla (10) and Aava (7) from June 2021 to August 2021, where my duties included playing with them, making lunch, and overall childcare. Additionally, I have been caring for Roni (15) daily from August 2017 to December 2025, which included taking him to and from school by bike, preparing snacks and meals, driving him to practice, and staying overnight with him at home when needed.

The idea of becoming an Au Pair comes from the fact that my mother was an au pair in the USA when she was my age. She is still in contact with her host family, which I find admirable. I have always been interested in living in the USA and learning about the culture, so spending a year there as an au pair feels natural and exciting to me. The main reason I would like to become an au pair is that I want to improve my English skills, and I genuinely love taking care of children. I consider myself a responsible person and feel very comfortable working with kids. I am outgoing and approachable, which helps me get along well with both children and adults. I am hardworking and willing to take on tasks, whether they involve childcare or household duties. I am very tidy and organized, which makes everyday chores easy and natural for me.

I took care of Ulian Hincapié, a 6-year-old child and for his sister or Victoria Hincapié, a 1-year-old baby from August 2023 to June 2024. My responsibilities included helping with homework, giving meals, supervising, and ensuring the child's safety and dressing her, feeding her, changing her diaper, and making sure she was safe and happy. I also took care of Emily Naranjo, an 8-year-old girl, from January 2025 to June2025. My responsibilities included helping her with homework and giving her meals. Lastly, I took care of Matías Alejandro Gonzales, a 4-year-old boy, from January 2024 to December 2024. My responsibilities included helping with his homework, giving him meals, and supervising him.

I took care of Tilia (3 to 9 years old) from July 2020 to August 2025 occasionally. My responsibilities included helping with meals, picking the child up from school, and doing activities.

I babysat Geraldine (1) from January to June 2023. I changed diapers, prepared bottles, took her for walks in her stroller, and put her down for naps. I babysat Isabella (9) from September 2018 to July 2019. My duties were making them breakfast, helping them with their homework, driving to and picking them up from school, taking them to the park and play in the slide and the swing, playing soccer, running and jump roping with them.
