Why to choose an Au Pair from Latvia?
- Hard-working. Our winters are cold, for 6 months of the year it is actually snowing or raining here. However, winners have to think ahead and be prepared for both easy and hard times. We are good at planning and improvising as well.
- Open-minded. The landscape is flat in Latvia, so we look far, we look wide and we don't like our vision to be hampered by anything closer than the horizon. We don't always smile but when we do, it comes from the heart!

Child Care Experience
I babysat Greta (5) from July to August 2025. I organized activities for her, took her to the park to play, prepared meals and did some light household chores. From December 2025 to January 2026, I looked after a group of 4 to 10 years old children at a recreational center. My responsibilities included supervising and caring for the children, organizing and managing activities that were appropriate for their age levels, ensuring the safety of the children, and supporting their daily needs.

From January 2024 to March 2025, I took care of Dulce (6) and Sara (4) for six hours, one day per week. I helped with homework and watched a series or a movie with the children. From November 2022 to March 2023, I took care of Luciana (8 months) for five hours, three days per week. I prepared bottles, changed diapers, gave baths and put the child to sleep. From February 2022 to April 2023, I took care of Juan (7) for eleven hours every Saturday. I accompanied the child to soccer lessons, prepared lunch, helped with homework, played and accompanied the child to the pool. From November 2021 to January 2022, I took care of Salmoe (4). I prepared snacks, played and practiced numbers, vowels and the alphabet with the child.

I took care of Thomas, 10 years old, from October 2022 to December 2022. My responsibilities included picking him up from school, helping him with his homework and reviewing what he had learned in class, preparing his lunch, and taking him to his soccer lessons. I took care of Jhojan Esteban, 6 years old, from May 2023 to September 2023. I prepared his breakfast, helped with his morning routine, and engaged him in games and activities such as painting, reading, singing, dancing, baking cookies and desserts. I also served him lunch and took him to the park in the afternoons. I cared for Mariam Lizeth, 1 year old, from October 2023 to May 2024. I prepared her bottle, bathed her, changed her diaper, prepared her lunch, and did activities to stimulate her to take her first steps. I also helped her take her nap and took her to different places to play. I currently care for Samantha, 7 months old, from June 2024 to February 2025. I get her up and dress her to go to the park, prepare her bottle and give her lunch, change her diaper, play with her educational toys, help her take her afternoon nap, and dress her in pajamas afterward.

I guided the development of basic habits, including independent eating and washing hands before meals. I also provided interactive companionship through games and picture-book reading to support emotional needs and early cognitive development, and I carefully observed the child’s mental state and diet to promptly identify any physical discomfort. I cared for Xiaoxiao Wu, a 4-year-old child, from August 2023 to December 2023. I guided the child in developing independent daily habits such as dressing, washing, and organizing toys, while reinforcing routines and proper table manners. I ensured safety and health management during outdoor activities and hands-on tasks, monitored diet and emotional well-being, and handled minor bumps appropriately. I supported cognitive development by improving language expression, logical thinking, and hands-on skills through picture books, puzzles, and creative activities. I also encouraged positive social interaction by teaching sharing, cooperation, and polite communication, helped resolve minor conflicts during play, and provided patient companionship to support emotional expression and regulation. From June 2025 to the present, I have been teaching Chinese calligraphy to a group of eight children aged 4 to 9. I teach correct pen holding, sitting posture, basic strokes, radicals, and simple character structures in a fun and age-appropriate way. I manage classroom order through engaging games and reward systems to maintain focus and ensure smooth lessons. I correct classwork and homework individually, provide detailed feedback, and communicate each child’s progress with parents. I design interactive lessons using stories, mnemonics, and stroke games to increase interest in learning, and I track each student’s writing foundation and progress over time.

I want to become an AuPair because I have always loved working with and being around children. After completing my secondary school diploma, I began training to become a childcare assistant and continued my education to gain certification as a trained educator. My sister was an au pair, which sparked my interest in the program and the unique opportunities it offers. I took care of Dana Sofia (4 years old) and Jhoan Felipe (7 years old). I am responsible for preparing their meals, helping with bathing, playing with them, supporting their learning process, and organizing recreational activities. I worked at Kindergarten Ositos Felices, caring for children aged 18 months to 3 years old, from February 2023 to November 2023. During the week, I was responsible for taking care of the children, changing diapers, feeding them, organizing creative activities, and getting them ready for naps. I currently take care of Alison Dayana (5 years old) and Lian Camilo (2 months old). I am responsible for preparing meals, feeding the baby, bathing the baby, changing diapers, putting the baby to sleep, and doing activities with the baby.

I prepared his bottle, helped him get dressed, made his meals and snacks, and ensured he rested. We played with toys, did arts and crafts together, and engaged in baby stimulation activities. I cared for David, also 1 year old, from January 2022 to October 2022. I prepared and gave him his bottle, changed his diapers, and we played with shapes, animal toys, and puzzles. I also prepared his snacks and put him down for naps. I completed a total of 800 hours. I took care of Samuel, a 7-year-old, from January 2023 to June 2023. We did activities such as painting and coloring, and I helped him with his school homework. After snack time, we played together. I cared for Emilio, 6 years old, from January 2025 to July 2025. I helped him with his schoolwork while we learned English together. I prepared his snacks, and we had fun playing football, building with Legos, going to the park, and having lunch together. We also fed the horse and the chickens, went to the river, and had a great time bonding.
