Why to choose an Au Pair from Latvia?
- Hard-working. Our winters are cold, for 6 months of the year it is actually snowing or raining here. However, winners have to think ahead and be prepared for both easy and hard times. We are good at planning and improvising as well.
- Open-minded. The landscape is flat in Latvia, so we look far, we look wide and we don't like our vision to be hampered by anything closer than the horizon. We don't always smile but when we do, it comes from the heart!
- Cooking enthusiasts. Cooking at home is very common in Latvia and we say almost nothing about it just because we have learned that it is not polite to speak with a full mouth. Food is to be enjoyed - not to be discussed.

Child Care Experience
From September 2023, I have taken care of Aurora (3) and Tommaso (6) every day. I prepare meals, play games, give baths and take care of the children when they are sick. From May 2023 to December 2025, I took care of a group of children from 5 to 12 years of age for six hours, three times per week. I prepared meals, did laundry and organized games and activities. From June 2023 to January 2024, I took care of a group of children from 3 to 17 years of age three times per week as a swimming instructor. From February to September 2025, I took care of Pedro (4) and Vera (9 months). I prepared food, changed diapers and got the children ready for preschool. From March to December 2024, I took care of Vicention (9) and David (7) twice a week. I prepared breakfast, supervised their homework and helped get the children ready for school. I decided to take part in this exchange program because I had never been outside my home country before. One day, while having coffee with a friend, I shared how much I wanted to see the world. She suggested I consider an Au Pair exchange program, especially since I’m good with children and it would give me the chance to experience a new environment and way of life. I did my research and quickly realized this program was a perfect fit for me. From March to September 2025, I helped out at Nuestra Senora del Rosarion school with a group of children from 3 to 11 years of age, one day per week for eight hours per day. I followed the lesson plan provided by the regular teacher, managed the classroom, maintained a positive and orderly learning environment, took attendance, tracked participation and explained and assigned homework. From October 2024 to June 2025, I took care of Isabella (7) and Abigail (10 months). I helped with getting the children ready in the morning, supervised playtime, supported homework, followed the children's meal and nap time schedule, prepared bottles, changed diapers, gave baths, read books, sang songs, prepared food, and kept their rooms tidy. From July 2021 to August 2022, I took care of Mathias (8). I prepared meals and snacks, helped with homework, picked up the child from school, supervised during playtime and outdoor activities, followed daily routines, washed, folded, and put away laundry and cleaned and organized the children's spaces. From February 2020 to April 2021, I took care of Catalina (5). I prepared dinner, did stimulating learning and creative activities, taught order and tidy habits, did the child's laundry, cleaned the child's area and organized creative and educational activities.
