Why to choose an Au Pair from Latvia?
- Hard-working. Our winters are cold, for 6 months of the year it is actually snowing or raining here. However, winners have to think ahead and be prepared for both easy and hard times. We are good at planning and improvising as well.
- Open-minded. The landscape is flat in Latvia, so we look far, we look wide and we don't like our vision to be hampered by anything closer than the horizon. We don't always smile but when we do, it comes from the heart!
- Cooking enthusiasts. Cooking at home is very common in Latvia and we say almost nothing about it just because we have learned that it is not polite to speak with a full mouth. Food is to be enjoyed - not to be discussed.

I babysat Isla (2) from December 2023 to September 2025 twice a week. My duties included preparing snacks and supper, helping with bath time, reading stories, supervising play and movie time, and completing the bedtime routine. I provided child care at my church from January 2023 to April 2025 to children ages 6 to 13 years old. My duties included supervising children during lessons, stories, and group activities, helping with crafts and songs, guiding them through worksheets, supporting emotional needs, and keeping them engaged in a safe environment. I babysat Matteo (6mths) from December 2024 to November 2025 occasionally. My duties included changing diapers, preparing and sterilizing bottles, feeding him, monitoring tummy time, supervising playtime inside and outside, giving baths, and doing light housework during his naps. I worked at a daycare center from October to November 2024. My duties included feeding the babies, preparing snacks, assisting with nap time, monitoring indoor and outdoor play, setting up lessons such as finger painting and building blocks, changing diapers, cleaning faces and hands, and keeping the classroom tidy. I've been a tutor since January 2024 to children ages 11 to 15 years old. My duties included helping students with their homework, explaining difficult concepts in a simple and patient way, preparing practice exercises, supporting them with reading and writing, guiding them through school projects, and encouraging good study habits. I also helped them stay focused, managed their time during study sessions, and created a calm and supportive learning environment. Finally, I was a hockey coach from April to November 2025 to children ages 5 to 13 years old.
