Why to choose an Au Pair from Latvia?
- Hard-working. Our winters are cold, for 6 months of the year it is actually snowing or raining here. However, winners have to think ahead and be prepared for both easy and hard times. We are good at planning and improvising as well.
- Open-minded. The landscape is flat in Latvia, so we look far, we look wide and we don't like our vision to be hampered by anything closer than the horizon. We don't always smile but when we do, it comes from the heart!
- Cooking enthusiasts. Cooking at home is very common in Latvia and we say almost nothing about it just because we have learned that it is not polite to speak with a full mouth. Food is to be enjoyed - not to be discussed.

I have been working as an acrobatic coach for children aged 5 to 12 since November 2022, and this position is ongoing. I coach acrobatics and supervise the group during training sessions once per week. I also worked with Yusuf, age 15, providing tutoring from July 2024 to September 2024. During this time, I worked five days a week and supported him with his learning. Additionally, I have been involved with a sports club, supervising children aged 7 to 14 during training sessions since April 2024, and this role is ongoing. I work once a week for one to two hours, where my responsibilities include supervising the children during training and practicing choreographies with them.

Watching them grow and building a strong connection with them is one of the main reasons I want to live with a host family. I especially enjoy doing activities with children, showing them new things, and learning from them, and I think being part of a family abroad is a wonderful experience. When I was 12, I had the opportunity to spend six months alone in Germany with a host family, discovering a new culture.
