I want to be an au pair because I love children. In my opinion, children are great life teachers. I want to become an au pair in the USA because it brings together many things that are important to me. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. During my volunteer year, I work with children every day and it never gets boring or repetitive. I am patient, loving and caring- even in difficult or stressful situations. Communication is really important to me and I am able to reflect myself and my behavior. With that, I am also pretty family-oriented. I have always liked cultural exchanges and experiences abroad because I think they help us grow and learn about different ways of life. Joining the Au Pair program in the United States is a great opportunity for me to discover American culture and share my own. One of the most meaningful experiences in my life was my two-month humanitarian mission in Togo, Africa. I worked in an orphanage where I took care of young children: helping them get dressed, feeding them, playing with them, and giving them comfort. I really enjoy working with children.
