I want to be Au Pair because I want to be part of an American family and learn everything about their culture and traditions. I think this program is an incredible opportunity to meet new people and have new experiences doing what you love most, which is taking care of children. I wanted to participate as an Au Pair because it will help me a lot in my career to learn English and significantly improve my knowledge about children. I want to specialize in child psychology. I babysat twins Valentine and Elise (4mths) from December 2019 to June 2024 twice a month. My responsibilities included preparing dinner, bathing them, playing with them, reading stories, helping with bedtime routine and supervising them. I babysat Charles (6) and Victoria (2mths) from September 2021 to September 2024 occasionally. I picked them up from school and daycare, helped with homework, took Charlie to activities, prepared meals, and put them to bed. Finally, I looked after Loris (8) from July 2023 to August 2024. For me becoming an au pair is an important and motivating experience. Indeed, this experience would allow me to improve my English level which is one of the main reasons why I want to participate. But it is not the only reason ! Be living this experience, I would like to immerse myself in new cultures, learn new customs and traditions that are unknown to me so far, while expanding my knowledge. Additionally, I am excited about creating unforgettable memories that I will cherish for a lifetime, as well as meeting new people and forming bonds that I hope will last well beyond this experience. Finally, it would allow me to develop in various areas, acquire new skills and gain independence.

From June 2024 to March 2025, I took care of Juan (13), for two hours on Saturdays. I helped with homework and practiced English with the child. From April to October 2023, I took care of Franco (2 months), for four hours, Monday to Friday. I gave baths, prepared food, changed diapers, helped the child with motor skills, played stimulating games, taught some words and put the child to sleep. From February to November 2022, I took care of Alejandro (3) for four hours, Monday to Friday. I helped with school commitments, took care of the child when the parents were working, organized the child's clothes, prepared food, practiced reading with the child, taught the child to ride a bike and took the child to the park. From March 2022 to November 2023, I took care of Emily (8), for two hours, Monday to Friday. I helped with homework, organized the child's closet and personal things, took the child to dance rehearsals and went to the park.

I want to be an Au pair because I consider myself a person who has a good connection with children, specially those who always needs special cares. In my experience as an aunt, cousin, nanny and teacher (at some point in my high school), I achieved that empathy that is needed to understand them, knowing how they feel and supporting them in every task with the goal to teach them not just a scholar lesson, also to make them learn about life.

I also cared for Leonardo Andre Hernandez Santos, 4 years old, from March 2021 to April 2022, my responsibilities were to feeding, taking care of his personal hygiene, bathing, trimming the nails, keeping clean, being a good educator, and playing with him, additionally, I worked at Bible school "The Spring" with children ages 1 to 11, from January 2016 to December 2018, where I was responsible for maintaining order and ensuring the children were engaged through songs, activities, and games.

I would like to be an AuPair because I love spending time with children, taking care of them, and teaching them different activities that they can practice, so they can grow up to be great people with dreams, goals, and accomplish great things. I am qualified to be an Au Pair because I have a long experience with children, I am patient, honest and I have the ability to create new things every minute. I also planned physical activities like obstacle courses to help build strength. Additionally, I cared for a 5-year-old child named Neo from February 2023 to May 2023. My tasks included feeding, entertaining, playing, going on walks, and organizing small picnics.

I decided to take part in this exchange program because I had never been outside my home country before. One day, while having coffee with a friend, I shared how much I wanted to see the world. She suggested I consider an Au Pair exchange program, especially since I’m good with children and it would give me the chance to experience a new environment and way of life. I did my research and quickly realized this program was a perfect fit for me. I adapt to change fairly quickly, and I consider myself responsible, honest, hardworking, and persistent, both in my work and academic life.

I want to be an Au Pair because I really like children. I love spending quality time with them and taking care of them. I like to teach them to connect with their creative side through artistic activities such as painting, singing, dancing, drawing, coloring, reading stories or creating magical stories together. I really like working with children because we can learn from them the art of being creative and connecting with our inner world, being surrounded by children is a joy for me, as it connects me with the inner child that exists in me.
